So just found out I can get deionized water from work will it be safe to use for my plants

I would not use deionized only water on my plants. Deionization does not remove impurities ( pathogens, pollutants ) that don't have a charge. Without knowing if filtering is done before the deionizing process that would be more risky. I would not use it @Towlie. :toke: but it is ok for your batteries.
 
Thanks for the reply guys this stuff is mainly used for batteries at work not sure of the filtration proses it comes from a hose separate from the drinking water supply it states nor for drinking so if its harmful to us maybe it's not safe for my ladies just though I would ask I did a Google search and found conflicting answers
 
Check the ppm, if it's way low, like 10, then its probably ro or heavily filtered.... I'd probably give that a go... but if the ppm are = to your tap, then I'd probably look elsewhere.
 
Both Distilled and De-ionized water are fine for growing with. De-ionized water and Distilled water are both types of extremely pure water, but they are produced in two distinctly different ways. Depending on the source water, distilled water can be more pure than de ionized water. Both will be mineral free.
