Diagnosis Confusion

Given the information available so far, I'd suggest that this is a symptom of improper pH.

Do we have any idea about the EC/pH of feed water? What soil, any amendments to buffer pH? What's the wet/dry schedule, are you going off pot weight when you elect to water? Temp/humidity of space?

Hey hey hey, Talkative my friend, chill a bit. You do seem a bit confrontational. Kinda itching for a ruck. No need for that. If a guy doesn't post enough info, then kindly request more.
And Waira is the most helpfull and knowledgeable chap I know. I don't want to see you guys fighting. It is not the AFN way. We thrive on the fun and friendly vibe that we always strive to foster. Call it old hippy stuff if you want, I don't care. But lets all take a step back and try our best to help each other and be respectful to our fellow members

I would like you both to shake hands and be friends. Not too much to ask ? And for my two cents worth, Mg def. IMHO

A phosphorus excess affects the plant by causing a massive nutrient lockout of other elements like calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and zinc, zinc being the first micro-element to get blocked. In this way, we must check for deficiencies of other elements to correctly diagnose a phosphorus excess and to know how severe it actually is.

What are the plagiarism rules? Cause this is not original.

Living up to the dark side of your handle, aren't you- :rolleyes1: :nono: --- Right, notice how I didn't say anything to you about the Schultz! ... I did say something about the "sterile media" though, so WTF are you talking about with that?? You haven't addressed that yet, twice now... And when you start out "advising" with gibberish, you get ignored or called out on it-- no I'm not talking about the video,.... His reply to your first post was OK, because that was exactly what he got out of it,... it wasn't a troll response either, this is his thread, and he responded as he read it, as did I... have you thought about how you phased that? It may not have been meant as snarky, but sure as shit reads like it....
And what's this crap about P toxicity?? Where the hell are you getting this from when there is no info yet about the cumulative inputs and dosage strength?... There isn't the least sign of Zn defc., BTW, right?-- or anything but Mg so far... Did you notice I said "if", proposing the possibility of too much high strength feeds/supplements, pending more info; early symptoms on several defc.'s and even toxicity can overlap with others, so more info needs to be had first! ... You, are assuming, and we all know the wise saying about that, don't we?! You trespass when you interfere with nonsense, or with arm-flapping indignation like this! :redcross: .... Plagiarism :confused1::confused1::confused1: - just what are you smoking? that doesn't even make any sense,....
Of all the places at AFN, here is where peace is most important, and look at the shit-show you're putting on. Stakes are too high here for poorly offered and thought-out advise, which you are guilty of....So, yes you can smoke whateverthefuck in peace, because I have a helluva better handle on this than you do,..you are a diagnostic clusterfuck, so there isn't going to be a next time.. you are officially done here, come back into the Infirmary again, and you'll be shown the door promptly,....:redcard:

:toke: --- I'm with Nammy, looks mostly like Mg defc. to me,... N defc. can start out looking like this, but usually it pales-out the whole leave fairly evenly, plus that food is pretty N heavy,... In fact, I'd stop using that Schultz food too, 10-15-10 is not a good ratio for cannabis, and the specifics of the formulation and sources are not good either,... foods like this often drive the pH too low in-pot! Epsoms are great, but as it's a salt, it's not the best long term solution, besides it has no Ca in it, just MgSO4 (S is great too though!),.... how much per gal are you using, ditto for the molasses? This is good stuff too, some Ca, Mg, K and a little Fe in there,... But, if there's heavy nute salt build up in there starting, it will interfere with other nutrients' uptake, including Mg... from the looks of the other leaves, this might be the case here,.. get us a whole plant pic please, and the other info,.. what soil is this, do you pH adjust the nute solution, and water (if needed),... I suspect a flushing might be in order to purge the excess salts,.. we'll see!

>> Talkative-- are you sure you have the right thread posting here?? Clearly he's in soil, or maybe soilless, so nothing sterile about that,... the opposite of what is needed in such mediums in fact,... and he said what food he's using,... and Sick Bay is not the place for "guessing" anything!

Shultz was what was available locally and I did 1/3 of recommended dosage. I can't make myself spend the money on hype and advertising when there are surely other options. Maybe it has to be that way, but when I plant my food plots for deer season, I don't buy the bag with the biggest rack on the package cause real life ain't that way.. My next go round, I'm gonna make up some super soil.
Anyway, I tested my water going in and my water coming out and both were at 7.0ph. Now, that IS with an aquarium test kit, so I don't know if that changes anything.
My soil is Black Gold potting mix with perlite, worm castings, and compost. Molasses, I did tsp per quart. Other than that, plain water.
Temps are running about 70-75, RH is usually an overnight low of 35% and a daytime high of 50%-ish.
I don't have a clue what EC is and for all of my reading, I assumed, (yep. assumed), that ph'ing nutrients was more of a hydro thing.
I'm a sponge, but when the sponge gets full of crap water, crap water gets squeezed out, and apparently that's what's happened to me on this.

Thanks much for your help. The interwebs is a wonderful thing, but so many varying opinions and "facts" on what is best.

You're in the best of hands with Waira, Friend.
He got me through my first grows despite my best efforts to kill my plants. I don't know anyone whose advice or diagnostics I trust more, and that's saying a lot.

He hates me calling him this, but I always refer to @Waira as "The Guru", and there are many others who have a wealth of solid knowledge, not just on growing but on medication, edibles, oils tinctures etc etc etc.

There is too much good solid advice and respect floating around AFN to allow one guy to bring it all down. Hence the week ban. Sad, but it might work. Lets hope so. eP.
