Extraction Diesel Concentrate

I don't really know what to call this other than a QWET extraction with ethanol.
The Diesel I get is just a bit higher proof than the Everclear I can get here. The Diesel is 153 proof.

I want Eek and I to take a maintenance dose of RSO every day, but I do not want to play with or ingest naphtha.
I also figured it would be a good idea to already know how to make this in case somebody needs it.

I'm making small batches...1 oz material to aprox 500ml solvent...

The dish on the right was made with 91% isopropyl alcohol - Eek takes this nightly.
I did not like ingesting the iso so I made one for me (on the left) with Diesel. I think there is a big difference in taste.

I have taken this morning and night for about a week. I've been sleeping well and waking up rested, seems to be a mood enhancer (not a "high" but happy) and I hardly think of toking during the day.

So I did more reading and listening...Gotta do it again!

This time I'm doing 1 oz buds and a separate super small amount (6 grams) Carmellscious which is a daytime motivator for me. I want to see if that comes through.

Completely dry and decarb material

Freeze the buds while they are still warm, so any water left will be tied up as ice.

The oz can sit in the freezer a bit while I do the Carmellscious.

Pour cold solvent to cover frozen material wash for 3 minutes...though I get side tracked and it was more like 5 minutes.
Then don't squeeze... dry material and freeze for 2nd extraction which if kept separate from the first, should be more sedative (night time).

I strained the material with the herb bag I got with my Magical Butter Machine (if anyone wants a $25 discount code let me know). The bag is a #90.


I let the material dry over night and refroze.

Put 1st extraction in an oil bath.
I have a habit of getting side tracked so I kept the heat low and did not boil the Deisel out.


The color is like a caramel candy. Not the dark green I'm used to.

Second extraction strained (squeezed) and in the oil bath.
As this one was cooking, it has more of the green I'm used to.


Heres how they came out 1st extraction on the left.


There is pretty much no taste to the first extraction. I only had a tiny bit to taste 30 minutes ago and I can feel it.
One more step for the material, add water to cover. I soaked it for a couple hours, strained and will evaporate the water...tomorrow...after processing should have a substance with sedative properties.
Tomorrow I will finish the oz. The first extraction is the same caramel color.

where im from petrol and diesel is what you put in the wagon at the filling station.is this the same stuff mericans call gas ?

So Root, a question peeps might have, is this able to be smoked?

You can, but I prefer not to.
There is a lot you can do with grain alcohol extractions. @budelee has a real good thread on the subject Where's all the eth extractors?

Awesome job Root, eekman you are in for a treat!!! I made a list of alternative brands of high proof alcohol,many can be ordered online so you can get the 190 proof if ya need it...i will be following and repping you along the way..and yes mine sometimes stay in the jar longer than 3 minutes too..I just bought the oven bags to do some decarbing without smelling up the house( wife hates that) i made a pizza once after open decarbing and it tasted like herb...lol...
