New Grower Dinafem Blue Cheese Auto

okay well today is officially day one for me. seed just went into the soil and this log ill be doing day one from when seed was planted simply becasue i have to go on the road for a couple days. i probably should have waited until i was home next weekend to plant the seed as now i wont be home for those critical 2 or 3 days to keep top of soil moist for the seed. but i gave the pot a thorough watering right before dropping the seed and i turned one of my lamps off, so heres hoping. if for some reason it dies then ill just plant another on the weekend.

anyway heres a quick pic of the setup and ill be updating regularly.

yeah i usually dont myself either, but i like to be able to keep the top soil moist while the seed germinates.but im sure itll be moist enough for the root to dig down. i soaked it 24 hours prior to planting so it should hopefully germ pretty quick while im gone. im hoping to see a baby plant when i come back wednesday.

Hola dude.......looking forward to seeing you grow dude...Dinafem are top genetics.....is there anything I can say to dissuade you from topping twice bro?.....just a tip!!

ha ha yeah i know its not supposed to be done. thats whay im having fun with it. . last time i tried i grossly underfed my plant and stunted it bad. so i wanna redo! i dont intend in going for max yield. but as always itll depend on how the growth of the plant is. if its vigorous enough then im going twice, if not then itll just be one topping and lst. but im really aiming for twice just because im curious to see results again.

lol, thats exactly what im hoping for. ill be growing more of this strain in future grows anyway so i can give up one plant to experiment with.

...IMHO dude the amount of time you have to leave, between the first top and the second 2........by the time the plant is established enough to top again.....it's way too late in the game and you might be stunting an otherwise banging producer...and be doing more harm than good.........but, prove me wrong dude:smiley1:..I will be watching

Yeah, that could very well be true. Last time around I believe I left about a week between toppings maybe a little more. From what I've read this strain doesn't usually go into flower until 25 to 35 days in. But it's really going to depend on the growth. If I need change approaches I will. But I do plan on running another plant right after this one which will just be topped and lst as normal. This is just for fun while I still have enough from other harvest to smoke. It's been bugging me that I didn't get solid results on my last attempt due to my feeding issues. So my curiosity is getting the better of me. And honestly I love just having those 4 stems to look after haha. Made things so easy. One has to remember this isn't so much about what the max yield could have been. It's more about seeing what kind of bud production I can achieve on just the 4 main Colas when no energy has to be spent on side branches or other bud sites. Yield will be lower but I'm curious about the quality of bud that will grow on those 4 Colas. Is it against the "rules" totally. And would I advise another grower to do it. Absolutely not, especially if there wanting top yield weights. But for me growing is more about the fun and the experimenting now and again. And since I have enough bud currently to easily last me 6 months. I have the time to try this again. So I'm hoping I'll have a strong grower out the gate.
