I grow first and foremost for personal use and secondarily for a few people with medical concerns that are not for whatever reasons able to grow for themselves.
Sometimes I run out and they have to procure medication elsewhere.
Two of them that hate going elsewhere kept telling me that even the "good buds" are "screened".
Not really being in the market in anyway, I had no idea what they were talking about and so they showed me these perfectly manicured buds, a little on the small side, but almost perfect trim. Nice smell in the bag, but when you looked at them by eye, you could see there was not many trichs, under the scope a wasteland of trich bases.
They told me the dealers, shake all the trich heads off the buds and sell the pretty looking buds!

At first, I was thinking it must be the auto trimmer the producer is using, but after looking those buds, I think my friends are right.

You guys hear of such crap?

It's common place gb, I mean we aren't in the market to
buy.. Or sell. But we've heard of it being done frequently.

it's just another way to make
extra £€$

however here, there are plenty of options to procure meds.

i do feel sorry though if they are paying top whack for already touched on meds.

That's such bullshit! Now are these street dealers, or dispensary types... because if they are "legal" dealers, I'd turn their asses in! On the street, no big surprise, bet they make a lot of hash..............

ive been unfortunate enough to have bought utter garbage in the past.GAK a lump of what looks like hash,but is actually closer to plastic.a bag of weed that has obviously allready been put through a grinder.hey this oz you sold me only weights 23 grams and 1.2 of them is the bag you b*****d !

In the 70's, we had a co-op...lol! six of us would chip in and we'd buy a pound then split it. When the price went from $200 a pound to $800, I quit smoking...........for 40 years! And have only smoked whats been given to me, and now, all my own grown. And I'd quit again if my only choice was dealers.

I had a bad year a few years back I bought some weed it looked great but had been sieved dry screened. The only chance at a high was with a few of the thicker buds that they could not get to the interior of the bud. I knew the guy but got told I was the only one complaining and I was nuts for thinking that. Never have I been back.

It depends how crazy you go with the tumbler, (or screening) 5 seconds and you get the cream of kief, and the buds are still pretty good.

I'd prefer tumbled weed to that what was around the Uk some years ago which was sprayed with fine silica(glass?) pieces in later stages of flowering to add weight and make it look extra frosty.

Hope I'm not going off topic, but I think this thing more comes from 'the money' side of operations than the growers.
We've heard first hand of these types wanting to make isolator, kief and bho all from the same material. Not to say it's impossible but in reality it's not the right way to go about it.

When i was living in Cali and mass producing BHO there were a few times id buy 5lbs of Trim and it would Stink. I could never figure out why it smelled funny untill one day my wife was helping me process and she said it stinks like Dry ice. Needless to say they would use bubble bags and dry ice pull all the Heads off and then mix it in with decent material on top for inspection but 4.5lbs of it was Garbage and wouldnt yoeld much.
