Hi all, having a small 60x110x160 grow tent suits my stealth needs, however, running the recommended hps 400w light combined with 30 degree temps building up In the tent and outside is an ongoing challenge.. I relish the opportunity to engineer a solution out of random things I have around..
I have been using 2 x chillmax water cooled fans to help cool the tent as well as 2 regular fans for air movement.. This has worked so well that I decided to free up some floor space and give an extra fan location for the clip on fans..

Using a 5 litre thinners can cut to shape, 2 bandit 1200 handle bar raisers and 2 other random motorbike mirror brackets plus some paint, nuts bolts and washers and rubber pipe I engineered a chill max shelf and extra tent bar.. Let me know what you think..

Excellent shelf Mod. The only thing is what are you going to do when the plants are in flower and you do not want the humidity from the ChillMax?
Thanks.. The plants are just going into flower now, the chill max can be used as a fan with no water in it which will help to move air without the moisture, so it will be a balancing act between rising temps while it's hot out and rising humidity... At the mo I am battling 30° heat in the day using the chill max and the humidity is in the 50s.. Gawd knows what I'll do when they really kick in lol... I have to accept that due to having to stealth grow my tent is in a concrete out building with a tin roof lol.. Its not ideal but its all I got lol

The elements are the biggest challenge to the small home grower. Is the out building small enough to throw some ridged insulation on the ceiling? It is not very expensive and is easy to work with.

It doubles as my workshop... Hence the combination of growing and making lol, the vice is literally next to the tent lol... I am unemployed due to Covid atm so no funds for building improvements... It just means I need to get really good at temp control lol, in a few weeks I could be into minus temps so bracing for that challenge lol

You can find lots of Styrofoam packing in the dumpsters beind big box stores or just ask them? tape around the tent?
