Its not finished yet. Im waiting for a led driver from china
I will make a new thread with details on the project when its finished.
:dance2:

Isn't this called a Hempy Bucket? It looks cool, and the plant is surely digging it. I'd love to get into hydro, but the amount of work to get it up and running is discouraging.

A hempy is a little different it,s a passive system " need to water it like soil"....this is more like a disasembled waterfarm.. res and grow container is seperated.. i need the space in my little tent :-). The hempy is one of the most simply hydro system there is .Easy to maintain.haven't tryied one but looks easy. A good way to try out hydro.
You should tjeck out some of the hempy grow threads. Its Easy to make, not much work.
Peace

Still work in progress
the oneway-valve had to go. it got filled up with nute dust and what not, so it needed to much attention (cleaning)
So i came up with a new solution.
2 pieces of wood hold tight on the hose. i needs to be as tight so a little water can get through. but when the airpump is on, the water will go out the other end because the hole in the hose is bigger. do this make any sense ?!!

Still work in progress
instead of the 2 pieces of wood
I pluged the tube with a 3-4 mm thick / thin piece of metal
much easier :D:

Made a new timer

I needed a new timer for my setup so i made one
it´s cheaper than the 12v welleman i had used and can be powered from 5 to 12v.dc.. Almost any old power adapter will work
i use a usb phone charger
1. arduino lenoardo
1.single relay 5v module / There is a double relay in the enclusere if i need to power something else
1.abs arduino enclosure
+ a little xtra
This little fucker rocks (if you know how to code).
cost hmm
about 30$

OHH
with a display and a rh/temp sensor you would have a min / max RH and temp meter

Impressive system, Kjs, really love what you've done :)

I use an arduino and a DHT11 for temp/humidity.

I think velleman are too expensive for their parts.

How much are you paying for the 10W LEDs and the driver Boards ?

Great work,

steely

Forgot to say - Max Rep !

Thanx mate

At the time i made this setup ... i did not know about the arduino.. So welleman it was

I also use the dht11 with an arduino for humidity / temp. LOL
i fitted a "mason" jar lid with the sensor So i can monitor the humidity under curing. works perfect

1. 10w chip is about 2$
1. 30w led driver is about 10$

I made a thread with the leds in the diy section

This is a sweet setup KsjA. Using an air pump to drive the water is genius bro.. didnt know that was possible! Im redoing my system at the moment trying to get the pot to drain directly into the res without having to use my drain table. The rh sensor on the jar lid is badass too

Thanx Jayar. evrrything is possible man. havent you seen Macgyver :d5:
All my grows on here is with this setup,, No water pump to clean :smoke:.. That sensor are not all good im back to analog ones calibrated with boveda packs :-)... I whould higly suggest a square bucket inside a round one . the square for the plant, draining down into the round and drain hose from the round, no coco will fuck up the drainage then. Iś a little like a water farm / aquafarm sort off..

:Sharing One:

I see what u mean. What i ended up doing is buying a 2 gallon windowsill pot and hooked it with pvc to a bucket res so it sits on top. A second res is where ill keep fresh water and will hook a pump to pump water into the recycling res. A little complicated but should be really easy to maintain... you'll see it on my next thread soon.
