Anyone know if diy cobs give off radio frequency interference or emi like some of the old hps? Has anyone tested theirs to see if it does? If so is there a way to stop it? thinking about building my first one soon.

Google "wave lengths that affect radio frequency"... there are a handful of tables and graphs outlining which htz levels are considered radio freq., then scope your driver for which htz level you are running... my understanding is that most "grid bound" electronic devices produce AND receive interference of one or more levels... if you are concerned about your driver acting like a homing beacon to LE, you shouldn't be. There is far more "white noise" that surrounds you in everyday life. You would have to be isolated for MILES around you to be singled out or pinpointed.

sometimes when I'm in my grow room I hear beautiful music or tv stations seemingly through all the noise. though this may be from in my head.

maybe a faraday bag would stop/contain the frequencies. or orgonite may help neutralize them
