Indoor Do you really need an air stone?

I'm going to be running a drip system. I will have a pump continously running in my res to circulate the nutrients. Do I really need a air stone with this system? I've heard air stones can raise ph for some reason so I'm hoping you don't really need one

You dont need injection then, and it is correct that air injection can increase pH by bubbling away CO2 cum nitric acid from the water.
To make it even more interesting, air injection can also lower the pH depending on the starting conditions.

Unless one is really on top of water chemistry, better never use air injection, whether through a stone, membrane, whatever, in a reservoir that is not continously monitored and adjusted as necessary...... The circulation pump will increase the oxygen content of the water through agitated surface exchange and is just as efficient.

Virtually all oxygen absorption happens at the surface level, so if you can direct the flow from the pump outlet in such a way it agitates the surface.... Bobs ya uncle!

@Corgy nice one for that great info! No air stone then. I will be using a continuous pump to keen the res agitated. Bit of a noob with automatic feeding as I've always hand fed. Looking forward to drip feeding coco. Auto glueberry og with new gn panels I'm super excited

I'm head over heels infatuated with my dripping Aquafarm I've been playing with for some 6 months now....I use, and instantly reuse, coco too.... On the 3rd run now...

First grow 1 x Think Big, 342 g yield

I'm very impressed, both with the ease of growing, yield and quality. My wife got rid of what we didn't keep ourselves, some 150 g, in a flash and she's been pestered since for more, hence another batch on the move .... Lol

If only I knew exactly what/which AH it is.... It was freebies from here https://www.wietzaadjes.nl/amnesia-auto-huismerk/ probably the most popular seed bank in Holland. It's the house brand, but these guys don't really breed me thinks, they get 'em from someone else.....the usual swapping around obscuring the real origin, but allowing a big price drop....
