I don't know if this has already been covered and if it has someone please tell me and I'll remove it.

That said, do you rinse your coco? You really should and this test will show you why.

This is a simple before and after test. I'm using tap water straight from my sink. You will see in this experiment that the coco drops the ph of the water 2.0 digits. I an using rehydrated Botanicare coco. However I've conducted this test with other brands and had the same result.

This is the before. Just straight tap water.

This is the after. Just the first sample taken from the runoff.

I avoid the buffered stuff like the plague. It might be fine from transplanting regulars in but I've had nightmare results with it and autos. It might be my water.

What do you mean by nightmare results? I've been using it for around 2yrs now growing autos hempy style ( fytocell/coco) and have had great results from it.I use R/O water and advanced nutrients nutes

Like I said I've had nightmare results but a said it might be my water. I use tap water. I know my water comes from a small filtering plant that uses all sorts of buffers to make our water passable. I'm convinced those buffers react poorly with the buffered coco. So I buy cheap unbuffered coco bricks and rinse them thoroughly then amend to my needs.

Does sound like the tap water then.Have you considered using R/O water or distilled if thats not possible? Maybe even try rain water see if that helps,R/O water is best tho

It's literally against the law here to keep rain water. I have happily used tap water for 3 years now.

New one on me keeping rain water is illegal, how come?
West Niles syndrome. We can have standing water, rain buckets, etc because they attract mosquitoes. Yes just another freedom we lost in my state. It's sad.
