hey guys first time poster long time grower .......... ive been growing normal plants for about 4 years now and have started growing auto's in the last 7 months now ...... i was just wondering if ..... 3 of my auto's r ready to b harvested and i was wondering if it was possible to harvest all the top buds and the lower buds that havent turned amber yet is it possible to cut the branch off then root it ?? so if i root it i could pop it back in my aeroponics and let it continue to flower?? i have done this with normal plants for making clones but since these auto's are new to me is it possible? i am growing big buddha cheese auto all there of dem has at least 3oz each . thanks. Dave.

It depends on where the plant is in it's life-cycle. I have removed lower branches, early in flowering, and they grew out just fine when I propped them (resulting in a short but thick bud from branches that would have only produced airy popcorn buds if left on the plant). I don't need the increased production, so I don't fool with it anymore... it was just an experiment. If the plant is toward the end of it's life-cycle, I'm not sure there would be any benefit...

why not just partially harvest, chop the ones that are ready and leave the plants in there to finish up the rest? maybe i read that wrong but seemed like an easier safer option.

i have a plant that i harvested most of the branches off and yes i know it seems stupid cloneing them but if i leave the plant with most of it branches missing then the plant will also be trying to repair the cuts on it aswell as grow the buds ...... were as i am thinking root the small branches with the little nugs and hopefully it all goes well ( i'll know in about 6-10 days ) and then all its resources will be growing the buds
........ No aeroponics is no differ to hydro when cloning they both use rockwool and root powder or gel or whatever ..... i have a system called " amazon aeroponics 16 pot" .... it has a 40 liter resavor and its mainly for rooting clones and letting plants veg for a week or 2 .... but i have fully flowered in it and had some good results and some bad 1's it really depends on the plant the best for this system would be a indica dominant ...... but plant 16 of those 60 day wonders and get 1oz off each plant in it in 9weeks from germ ..... apart from all that i'm just experminting with the autos since most of the internet claims they cant be rooted.
