2025 Summer-Fall-Winter Grow -- Maria's Haze Heaven Hacienda!

Day something something...

Managed to visit and do some work.
More fertilization, especially for Little Miss Volunteer.
And made some covers for the soil surface with the old cloth pots from last season.

By the time of this first photo, I had already spent quite some time removing all the fully dead leaves.
Lost a lot, but she's bounced right back very strongly.
Some leaves still on her are yellow with dried tips, but they don't remove easily by hand, so I leave them on.

There are a few trichome heads forming on these calyxes now
Aromas are still quite faint, fresh a fresh delicate floral / herbal aroma for now

Near the end of the stretch I think.

Over to the three little Hazes.
Looking solid, lovely life.
Already showing classic hazey shape.
Though the inter-nodal length is short and tight.

Turning the cloth pots into mulch covers
Using little rocks to weigh it down
Same on the other boxes
Looks like an earthbox now :p

Plus the L'n'L Jones x (Grail x ThaiFrican) joins them
Forgot a pic of him/her separately
Tucked in behind for now
Protection while young.
It's hot and dry for here
And I'll be away for a while

On heavy dews and after rains I go out and grab the top of the main stem and shake till no more water is coming off. It goes a long ways to help against bud rot. Use a rain jacket or you will get soaked.
Simple, I like this. Thank you. As a retired nurseryman you are spot on with the rain gear. Just thought of using my old plug in leaf blower on low setting also. Or sufficient fan on the ground directed upward, for as long as it takes, I have two of those..

@Waira
I guess it was a good thing I made those Asian haze seeds, La Buena Hierba is probably no more with their website being down.
:yoinks: damn, I don't like the looks of that at all... I'll reach out and see if somebody at another forum can get the scoop.
It's been pretty much dead for years now, nothing new, no restocks... Doesn't look like a website snafu or server move... Bummer!
I need to take a closer look at my stash of his fem's...

Put her in a cage
Solid! :vibe: ...ain't gonna be no blow-overs or collapses this year!

 I do the same, or even branch by branch, anything to shed the excess....
She was big, had to clean tool a couple of times, stickier than she looks......
WDA is a steady fav my man, always a great performer up there! Color density is a permanently checked box 😍
Are you working from your own repro seed stock, or still Amber's original crossing?

:yay: wow, she's tough! She look right proper hammered previously, thought she might go fully sideways :nono:
...at least it happened early in the bloom game, time to recover and regenerate!

The Lil'Hazes look great Maria, those leaves are a familiar face :cool1:

>>> OK, I'm due for an update too, but yesterday's pics just plain sucked- ...gotta re-do today, along with extra watering. Weather is warmer than usual even at the coast, and they are drinking like mad! ....Amazing how a few degrees more (and being breezy) accelerates the transpiration rates...

All the garden girls harvested. Thick leafy buds, ridiculously sticky. They kicked ass growing, produced good weight. But that thick leafy thing isn't completely right for od in my environment. Traps moisture. These were Portal Sativa f1s. I won't be breeding forward with this side of the family. One of the 3 had the beginnings of BR in several spots. I still was finding spots after I hung her. These babes were so sticky. Hard to trim, and clean-up!
Update
Here is the garden entry at harvest. No Br, no PM

She won't be my final entry. The 2 from the gh have the bag appeal that will get more votes

Nicely done!! I hate it when it gets super sticky this time of year outside. And you get that shit.

Weekly Update
Girls are looking tip top this year and the raised bed is killing it. Just some very minor tweaks with frass and micronutrients. The build a bloom is spot on and at 65 days and hot weather ahead it should be great.

She's a volunteer, that I discussed by accidentally ripping her, roots and all, out of that pot.
Then I stuck her back in, after pulling all the other 'weeds' that had grown since last harvest.
Tough girl.
Hazes are a blazin'!
