The afghan mass is some good smoke man i love what i got from my plant and i think you will enjoy as well that ec meter is looking lovely my dude you have a lot of knowledge and love the fact that you are willing to share it with all of us on AFN keep the inventions coming broHigh 5:grat:

Yes, its starting to look good now, as there is not so long to go, another 2-3 weeks then some harvest :)
They're all starting to look buddy now, hope they fatten up nice!

All good fun with the project, Im always up to something or another so I thought I might as well build up some info on AFN with this one, hopefully it will be interesting for some.

Always interesting and definately helpful dude, keep it up.
:slap:

Are you using molasses in your feed? To get that last little bit of weight to your flowers add 1 teaspoon of molasses (Sure you'll have some black treacle in the cuboard) per litre of water. You've still got time to get a couple of those in.

If your still here reading this LowBudge, the reason we're both lagging behind in the race is because Think Differents avaerage a finish date of around the mid 90's, now we didn't really think that one through did we lol. I think I'm on around, well its either 54 or 64, I can't remember but either way, loads of time left.

DK, I've been assured by many a folken that the AKR you've got going will be one of the best smokes you've had in a long time.
Briman sent me a link the other day to have a look at his results, check them out. I think you'll end up buying a few more of those.

If your growing in soil again next time look at,

Air-pots
Tiered planting, Larky.Derry is running some Dragons which he'll tier, use his grow for reference

And Mycorrhizal fungi, seriously one of the best things you'll buy

I've gotta go grab myself some porridge, I'm so bloody hungry, been surfing AFN for hours now. Hope some of that helps dude.

I'll be back to chat when your online.

:smokebuds:

P.S

and an air stone bubbler (from a fish tank) to pump some oxygen into your feed before you give it to your girls.

We'll call you Dr. Kong before too long, why does this rhyme, this isn't a song?!?!?

thanks rivalFish, lots of useful things to think about!

I've got them on some thing called bloombastic since the last week ish, guy at the lhs said its good for maximising the buds, picked it up with the aqua flora feed but didn't start using at the same time. Probably my timing with the feed changes and strength of feed could have been better, room to improve next time!!

I tried to do the maths early on, and seeing as I was late to enter / start , I though better to have plants in the 60-70 day flowering times, so have a chance to finish in time. Looks like most folks just went with what they had lying around or didn't think that far ahead anyway! Maybe because I didn't have a clue to start with I might have made a more researched plan I dunno.

On the comp I reckon really rules are rules and should not be changed, in the DARPA challenge none of the robots made it first year... they didn't just pick the end line up and move it behind 50% of the broken robots :)
But this aint DARPA challenge and after my initial yikes, what the hell, doesn't really matter it will be fun to drag it out another week before I have a void in my life to fill !

Next grow I will do something a little bigger. 32oz was nice intro and glad Im doing it this way, but I think these same plants can yield a lot more in bigger pots etc. Airpots also interesting I remember folks discussing them early in the comp.
I think there was someone using an airpot in parallel just to see the difference it makes, though I forget who.

I definitely want to try and water culture stuff and grow just one or two huge mamma's if I can. But getting there will take some time, im in no rush so probably realistically I will have another go in soil before then, larger pots, airpots sounds good.

hmm : air stone bubbler to help oxygenate the feed : interesting idea. Yes it should work why not. That's not a bad idea at all! Is it something you are doing or tried and noted an improvement?

With the DWC stuff, Im planning a dissolved oxygen sensor in the tub. That way I can bring the water close to saturated and boost it back there when it reduces .... as well as measure how fast the plant is using it up. Still, im also a fan of simple things that work also , and your plan sounds useful!

AKR, I'll be looking forward to more so now, just wish it was twice the height :)

Hey dude,

Can't stay for long, got Jack Bauer going on a mad one over here, seen them a million times but I hate missing bits lol.

Glad you found some good stuff in there, got a bit more reading material for you here

If your going down the soil route and especially organics, Mr Piggy will soon become your best friend. This is where you'll find the info on bubbling your feed before watering.
https://www.autoflower.org/f89/guano-ewc-tea-how-8167.html

And if you do that then the next step is

TLO (True Living Organics if I'm not mistaken)/Super Soils. X's thread is just awesome, sure you'll find it just as good.
https://www.autoflower.org/f89/tlo-dummies-dummy-17822.html

And one last thing. I've got this saved in my bookmarks for when I want to have a dip in the ocean. Would be great to see you construct your own DWC set-up but if you decide not to, here's the one I'm looking at.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aero-hydrop...GTO84/ref=pd_luc_sbs_01_03_t_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Sorry to throw all this at you but I'm sure you'll appreciate a lot of the information held within.
I'll be back on shortly dude.

JACK BAUER!!!!!

Thanks again RivalFish, glad to have the info!!! That's one thing AFN is a big place and I can spend many hours trawling thru reading interesting stuff, so it useful to have a pointer into the relevant things :)
I haven't been through those links just yet but I will do soon as they look like stuff I want to know more on!

Gave the plants a little trim and now I can see more of the buds, I think they are getting nice and fat now, maybe that bloombastic stuff works!
Im gonna update tmrw on the 32oz comp thread, but heres a quick preview!!

:hump: Giggidy....

That Afghani in the background is picture perfect for its strain, I'm presuming it's the Afghan anyways. Damn fine job there dude.

One last thing to mark on your treasure map, composting, goes hand in hand with TLO and organic 'teas'. (Everything you needs in the organic section)

:slap:

Great job dude, to make it to harvest with all your plants on your first run, especially in such small containers deserves a lot of respect man.

Thanks!!! yes its Afghan Mass the tall one second from the right, and Afghan Kush Ryder on the far right, which did you mean?

So lately I started to think, which one of these to put forward to the comp, we can submit only one so I have to choose eventually. Today at least 60-day-wonder I thought looked nice, but I guesse I need to work out which of these looks like good examples of their breeds.
