This is an email that my cousin sent me, I thought I would share it with you all.

It also reminded me of something my doctor told me, he said "whenever you smoke make sure you have something to drink with you so you don't get cotton mouth, having a dry mouth at any time weakens your immune system"
The importance of enough water in your system.
I would consider this*critical information for all of us about drinking enough water....

How many folks do you know who say they don't want to drink anything*before going to bed because*they'll have to get up during the night???

I asked my Doctor*why do people need to urinate so much at night time.

Answer from my Cardiac Doctor -

Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body*when you are standing (legs swell).*

When you lie down and the lower body (legs and etc.) seeks level with the kidneys, it is then that*the kidneys remove the water because it is easier.

This then ties in with the last statement!
I knew you need*your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body, but this was news to me.*Correct time to drink water.. Very Important.

I can also add to this... My Physician told me that*water at bed time will also help prevent night time leg cramps. Your leg muscles are seeking hydration when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse.

Thanks for bringing this to AFN.

H2O, essential for life. But beyond that, if yo have enough water in ya, it keeps everything as balanced as possible. Making everything work the way it should.

I would also add that in the Winter months, people tend to think they are not thirstly. But you still need water. Maybe not as much as in the summer, but still gotta have enough so you are not dry.

Dryness in they eyes, skin, mouth and sinuses are a sign you are not getting enough water in you.

Sorry to disappoint but that's an old Urban Legend. The first thing to do when someone emails you "information" of any kind, check the facts! Otherwise, not only do you get fooled, so does the next person you send it to! Here's a great place to check these damned email clogging garbage mails:

I don't think anyone would dispute that drinking water is an necessary for life.
How much and when?...

There is a case here in CA during a radio station contest, a lady drank so much water she died. Too much of a good thing.

Drinking water during the day other than soda, sugary drinks or whatever is healthier.
 
It's called Hyponatremia, you essentially wash the sodium out of your blood which your heart needs to regulate itself.

?????????? Not a pissing contest, I just wanted to bring truth to the matter! If you want to believe this bullshit, that's. your perogative! However, as a computer professional, and a computer securty proponent, it behooves me to help people keep BOGUS BULLSHIT off their computers and from clogging up people's email inbox!

I'm mean explain to me clearly, what's wrong with my post and I will apologise most sincerely!
 
At this years Boston marathon a woman who is a top world runner drank two litres of water before the race and with in a few klicks the dropped dead of a massive heart attack it was ruled that she through her electrolites out of whack. i am no expert on this subject but the old addage to much of anything as was already said
