Lighting DP Auto Ultimate under GN HS1 (60 x 60 diffuser)

Awesome.

Just starting my first indoor grow with an ms0004.

Like you my first grow has been a disaster.

Outdoor auto blue cheese in a mini greenhouse on my decking...,

Think I'll get about an oz of 10 plants (7 grown guerrilla) lmao.

But following TaNgs feeding schedules, mediums, pots and lights/temps will hopefully stand me in better stead!

Looks like yours is going to be an absolute freak.

Will sub when I can work out how on mobile bro

Cheers for the encouraging words bro. Good luck with your grow. If you follow TaNg's advice you can't go far wrong! :greenthumb:

Bro, this is exactly what you get with HS1, or Lumileds. I have not seen such great results with any other LEDs out there, be it Cree or Chinese stuff, nothing is making plant so happy. No deficiencies of any kind, no troubles at all.
I'd consider to add another HS1, just to have plenty of lights for your plant. HS1 alone is great, but 2 of these, from sides and in good angle, will give you lighting way better than any HPS or anything else IMHO.
Good luck!
I'd love another hs1, and a slightly bigger tent. It would be the perfect setup. I may have to "make do" this time round. Getting a new kitchen and flooring downstairs at the mo so money is tight.

Day 20

Not really much change from yesterday, but the OCD in me dictates updates at intervals divisible by 5 days! LOL Next update day 25.

Looks so healthy bud.

I'm admiring hard!

This place is great. Definitely a top spot for inspiration and knowledge

How much do you feed at a time? I want to follow the zen masters schedule, but the one thing that confuses me is, if I fill a 1L bottle with my nutes for that week period, do I splash it all in, or drip feed like 100 ml a day?

Cheers mate! I'm probably not the best person to ask as I'm a beginner too. This is only my second grow. I mix up 5 litres of water at a time because then I can more accurately measure out the nutes in the right ratio. I don't necessarily use all that 5 litres. After a week, I tip away what hasn't been used, which is most of it, and mix some up fresh.

Watering and how much to water has always been a fuzzy topic for me too. A popular opinion is to water until you get "run off" i.e. the water starts coming out the bottom of the pot. I guess that largely depends on what stage the plant is in its life and how much water it can take on and absorb. For me right now, I've been watering it until I've got a nice pool of water form at the top and I just allow it to sink back down, which it does within 2-3 seconds. No run off. I do this every other day because my RH is between 50 and 60% and a day isn't enough for the soil to adequately dry out from the previous feeding. Whatever it is I'm doing the plant seems to like it.

I don't think there's any hard, fast rule about watering. It largely depends on the individual setup, the conditions, the strain and the stage in its life cycle. I think it's one of those things that you get a feel for the more experienced you get. I'm not there yet and I will make mistakes. lol!

Good luck with it bro!

Thanks man,

Yeah that's what I imagined, and as they seem to thrive in drier medium and less dampness rather than more, that seems like the right road to follow,

Quick one on your mixing though, if you're pouring a lot away right now, could you not just divide by 5 and use 1L bottles till she gets bigger and thirstier?

Perhaps the Wu TaNg master will steer us on the issue, seeing as he's chill and doesn't seem to mind guiding us noobs.

I will bow my head and wait on one knee...

100% serious

Looking great though mate, this will be the first grow diary I've ever been locked in to as well, so hope you nail it, seems like you are so far

Watering depends on pot size, medium, environment, genetics and how old the plants are. So quite a few factors! It's something that's hard to explain how to get right. But early on not very much for first couple of weeks and building up to between a Litre or two a day. After about 10 days I tend to water about 500ml a day. But remember all the factors. Pot lifting helps to get used to the feeling of empty and full pots. Good luck.
