Hey sativa lover, I would lightening up on the full strength, thats too much nutes for autos:gthumb::D6.5 is the sweet spot for ph. Hope this helps you out a bit.
Sending green kharma your way bud

it's sativa guy
Don't pass on the name of that ass sativalover to a poor unsuspecting new soul:)

S-GUY don't watter plant next to base of stalk water about an inch away
wattering tooo close promotes dampening off"stem rotting" and fungus from continual moistening you want as even moisture as you can get throughout the container w/o it being too moist

to sorta guage the medium apply watter in seperate container w/ medium and then take out a handful if the medium is dripping through your fingers it is tooo wet and pushes oxygen from the soil which will also cause def to appear to be short
once you find the amount the medium holds this will give you a good idea of how the drainage will happen in bucket
it is good to buy a cheap moisture guage till you can get a good hang for feeling the weight of container or finger into container to check for moisture and then have a better understanding to read your plants:)
good luck hope this helps alittle

and a word of advise if you want to make friends put a banner in your name," not the asshole known as sativa lover";)

cheers guys, back with good and bad news.

the bad news first: i foliar feeded the older girl with mgso4 that evening. everything was looking good; at least i thought that. her weak stem, which was supported by the plastic, collapsed during the night. in the morning it laid on its side. after checking the stem near the ground i recognized that it was very squishy. hence the nutrient deficiency; the tissue was not able to transport nutes anymore, it was too late. i decided to discard it. r.i.p. my friend

i think it was due to not having the fan on all the time, supplying good ventilation. well, lesson learnt.

the good news is, the remaining girlie is doing well. she has a nice thick stem and is showing its sex already (these little hairs coming out where the stem meets the leave; sorry, much vocabulary to learn)

:booya:

gave her 1l water yesterday. with feeding i will wait till there is at least one more pair of leaves.

ok, thats it for now. sativa_guy out.
:peace:

a plant w/ stem issues can recieve nutrients through foliar feeding
if it happens again try to put a constant air flow onto the stalk at base while propping it up till it hardens again and use light foliar feed to adress def while the stalk is being repaired and strengthened
if Reletive humidity it ok then moisture levels will disipate from the stalk in a fairly short time
hope this helpps alittle more:)

Just say what you want it changed too and one of the Mods will cover it for you..

day 1 - here we grow

ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelt please.

both seeds i planted 3 days ago poked their heads through the ground over night. now both are approximately 2 cm tall.

(be careful, pics may cause eye cancer... as always)

a few minutes ago i upped the distance to my new 90w led grow light, because i am afraid that it is too strong for them. it is now 60 cm above the seedlings.
it is a 3-band ufo led, red-blue-orange 7:1:1. this thing is so damn bright...

:204: for now.

my soil consists of 3 parts ordinary potting soil (same as above) and 2 parts fine perlite; it is nice and airy. at the first try i did a 1:1 mix. it was ok, but not the real deal.

feeding will also be the same as above; i still have a lot of that. i do not yet want to buy new stuff particularly for cannabis, because i hate to waste things.
for veg i use the tomato stuff 6-5-9 (i know it is a bit high in k, but it seemed to work the first time) and for flower the 3,5-6-6.
additionally, i will be using molasses, because i heard good things about it as to micronutrients and the taste of the bud. and of course a little bit of mgso4 to every feeding.

so far everything under control. :D feedback and critics always welcome!

peace, love & aloha

Hi.

Can I suggest using flash so colors of your plant will be better, that's the easy way.
You can also turn off the light and use a flash. That's better way for phone camera pics :)

If you are using flash on auto settings it can focus properly. Without flash u should use tripod but that is not practical.

Have a nice grow ;)

day 7

heyho autoflower people,

things are going pretty well, much better than the beginning of last time. my two plants really like the led light.

i noticed the edge of the leaves curling upwards a bit, so i put the light a little higher and gave them their first watering; both plants received 1l, enriched with a quarter teaspoon epsom and a tablespoon of h2o2 3%.
