I do it the old fashion way, trim buds and separate onto branches. Hang upside down in a well ventilated dark area. After 3-4 days start doing the "snap test" then straight into jars for at least 1-2 weeks.

Can we get a curing poll up also? Im pretty curious ......no pun intended

No pun taken Smokechoke ;-) I dry trimmed buds with hot air/fruitdrying machines for 3 hours a day at 21-28 degrees C. For about four consecutive days. These buds have wet stems, but dry leaves and calyxes. In the curing process this evens out gradually. Best drying and curing I have ever done. Not just because the smell is gone after three days. But also because you take about two weeks less than the 'traditional' methods. Since curing is just the rearrangement of moisture in the buds, and some airing along the way for two-three weeks. The taste has been judged as 'coffeeshop-like quality', which to me seems beyond acceptable.

I tried the paper bag method but didn't much like it, so I went to hanging branches from the top of my grow tent. I leave my dehumidifier on and a small fan pointing upwards and they're usually ready for jarring in 4-5 days

If you might have mold issues and no way to control humidity I would always go with paper bags. It saves you money on electricity aswell. Although I consider hanging with humidity control superior, due to the fact there is less trich damage. I like pretty trichs :)

When i use paper bags my buds get compacted from lying flat on the bottom of the bag. I turn them or whatever but then i get sort of square shaped buds or at least one or two sides are flat. Is this pretty normal for everyone?

I have Better Taste with Whole lant Hanging...and Most Paper bags can be found By the Ziplocks and Sandwich baggies aisle ..

Hang em whole if u in the Climate Zone of 60% humidity ...best ive had so far...

Baggies seem to give the flavors w
Of wood to me and Somepaper catches too Much resin ...
Just swamps ideas..Clean Pyrex Bowl in last sages .,

Yo all, i cut mine into bud sticks then paper bag for 5 days @ 65 RH. then into a jar or plastic container, opening the lid every day for a bit.
Those little digital RH meters are excellent for putting into the jar / container with your weed, if the RH goes up above 70% then it needs burping or drying some more, good way to actually see how dry or wet your weed is during curing.

I found the same and presume everyone does also.
I found those 'mesh hanging dryer type things' also made a flat spot.
