Total Newb, but I do like ALPHA and OMEGA Yo all, i cut mine into bud sticks then paper bag for 5 days @ 65 RH. then into a jar or plastic container, opening the lid every day for a bit.
Those little digital RH meters are excellent for putting into the jar / container with your weed, if the RH goes up above 70% then it needs burping or drying some more, good way to actually see how dry or wet your weed is during curing. "

And if the rh is a little low in the jars, I just breath in it a little bit then seal it up.

I just cut the4 branches on mine. I took a cardboard box, and ran strings across the top like clothes lines, and hung the branches from the strings. I put a clip fan blowing near but not into, the handle hole in the end of the box to stir the air just a little. they seemed dry enough to jar in 4 days., but after a day in the jar, the RH wss 79%. I took them out and spread them on paper towels for about 2 hours then put them back. I've burpped them a few times and the jar was at 65% when I burped it tonight. going to age them a bit now, I kept out a little to smoke, and used 4 grams, mixed with some trim, to make a batch of canna/oliveoil.

Branches, but think I'm going to be using the paper bag method after this run.:grat:

Yeah I just ordered a box of 250 paper bags after reading all about it. Should keep me going for a while.

Ok where does every one get paper bags?? I haven't seen a paper bag in years!
:roflcry:
Been using paper bags forever until I ran out.
So, had an idea:poof:
Pop down to Lidl and steal some of their bread bags. (only joking I did buy a couple of cakes and a loaf of bread ).
The bags are perfect, brown paper one side and a perforated clear window the other side for a little airflow.
Branches dry in about 5 days and taste like they've cured for ages.

Wish I knew someone that worked at maccas or something. Cost me 60 bucks for my paper bags... and theres heaps more expensive out there too.

My choice is to hang the entire plant for about a week, until crispy but with sticks that still bend. Then cut it into branches and into the freezer at around -23 C. Leave the branches in the freezer on the shelves and after between one and two weeks cut the buds and put them into glass jars and back into the freezer. This way I have gotten rid of the hay smelling weed, since it always stays dank. Keep it in the freezer until use. Although you can smoke it straight out of the freezer, it is usually better the next day.
And forget about mold, burping, hygrometers and all that crap.
Just set and forget.

Paper bag method worked pretty good for me. Though the 1 day for every 10% rh + 1 day didn't really work out. I was drying at 50 so should have been 6 days It was dry enough to want to jar at 4... so basically jarred it all up after 4 days jar humid went over 70 back into paper bags overnight though probably about 1/4 of the original bag number to hold the reduced size stuff... and then settled around 60-65 from then onwards... my weed never smelled like hay... it was always fully dank stinky.
