600w dual arc for the whole grow or doing the mh to hps flip. Your thoughts.

Does the dal arc have both blue and red spec.This one of those subjects that you will get if you ask 100 different people youll get 100 diferentr answers.

Not tried a dual arc bulb yet but the principal behind them is pretty sound. If I had separate MH & HPS bulbs I'd opt to use the MH in veg because of the higher PAR watts and generally better plant-health with MH light, and then switch to the dual arc for flowering to give the buds the best of both worlds.
But like nam says.. this is a debate where everyone has their own ideas on it.

I figured a full spectrum throughout would be OK for autos

Yeah it will be OK. In fact it will no doubt be great. But will it be better for vegging than a dedicated, 7200k MH bulb with a far higher PAR rating and better effect on plant-health and disease/stress resistance? I can't see how it can since the 7200k bulb produces more plant-useable light in a far higher blue spectrum.
However, I think I'd rather have the dual arc for flowering because a good balance of light is better then.

Thanks for the insight the company I ordered my tent from made a mistake and sent a mh, hps, dualarc and 2 small led and I only paid for a mh I'm trying to figure out how I can work them to my benefit
