Hello everyone,

We have quite a few changes to announce, here are the details.

We are discontinuing commercial sales of nine seed varieties. The genetics will remain in our genebank for many years and no doubt we will be experimenting with the various genetics and certain special pheno’s of them. The strains are not lost, just in deep freeze.
The reason we discontinue varieties is based on the fact that our collection already has around 50 varieties in it and just as we add new strains, we have to remove those varieties which have not been selling as well. If we didn’t do this, after 25 years in business (only Sensi Seeds has been around longer), we would have hundreds of varieties by now.

That would be an impossibly large seed collection for our distributors to manage. For some of them, the 50 varieties we have is already big enough.

The following varieties will be discontinued this year but for most of them you can still place final orders if there are special varieties which you would like to keep in your freezer. I am sorry about this, the list contains some very nice selections which I would like us to keep but we can’t. Occasionally we have to trim the seed collection and it is never a popular thing to do as it always upsets someone, but remember the strains are still there for our breeding programs, we only remove them from the catalogue on the basis that sales have been in decline, even though some of them I would rate very highly. The following strains will disappear from the catalogue.

Oasis, Flo, Isis, Green Spirit, Blue Moonshine, Skunk Passion, Dolce Vita, Super Haze, Sacra Frasca

Likewise we have new additions. Night Queen, Dark Delight, Freddy’s Best are traditional varieties and Think Different is an auto.

The full line up of varieties for 2012 are in the catalogue, which is here….

not blue moonshine?!?!?!??!

ohh... sad to see that and Flo get archived... but I totally understand... :toke:

its an awful lot to manage!

I never got to try either... but I've heard many good things and had hoped to get my hands on some.

It´s a shame. Flo is one of my all time favorites... always wanted to try BM.

I also understand the reasons you have to do this though.

Glad for the heads up! :smokebuds: Maybe I can squeeze in an order this week.

Hope Freddy´s Best lives up to his name!

it is not nice to trim the collection, but we have another possible auto this year and a regular variety as well. They are not guaranteed and will have to pass some tough standards to qualify for release.

On top of that, looking at monthly seed sales, AutoMazar on its own outsells several of those exiting strains added together. It shows an interesting trend developing, as people look for the easiest and most convenient ways to grow their medical and recreational stash. If we make it easier for people to grow their own it is one less shady dealer on a street corner. I remain convinced that the more we make it easier for the first-time grower to be self sufficient the better place we make society.

yeah, fraid so. But we have a pheno of moonshine under the spotlight, if it goes really well it could lead to something. The best 2 selling varieties in the blue family are Blueberry and AutoBlueberry.

Dolce Vita was very high on my list of strains for my first grow in many years. I think I'll get some seeds before they're all gone.

Sorry to see your FLO version go away for the time being.

I would always rather have something unique even with less yield then large yield and crap.

I am test growing a cross of your version of FLO-male to nice female Kalimist that should provide some interesting plants.

Goodluck in 2012

Hi Tony,

It has been a while since you guys updated the blog. What's going on lately? Waiting for seymour too anouce the final weight? Since the new website I haven't seen any updates lately. (Wanner kunnen wij een "Northern Lights Auto" van jullie verwachten? Eén van mijn favorite strains). Would love to see a new auto indica strain with all the qualitys of the Automazar but with no smell at all. That would be an awesome guerilla plant!

Hi sol, go to our website here, the blogs are on every week again
http://www.dutch-passion.nl/en/news-and-development/

We are working on the ultimate geurilla auto at the moment, it is true stealth technology but is difficult to get her worked the way we need it. I will let you know when we have something more we can say about that ! Enjoy the new website man !
