Indoor DWC LED SCROG log

I read in passing earlier in the week that some corners and where the pots fit with the res. or even the rocks can provide a smal bit of light as to promote germ growth.Im pretty sure I recall them saying he/she used a towel sometimes around the Pot(s) and taped up the corners. But Im clueless as to what your issue might be.just remember hearing that.

Yep .Had shit im my res & was told the same ... light can get in around the edge like ... any crap went away after i did that.Just till the canopy covered the bucket nicely .:smokebuds:

Just took the lid of the bin off and placed it in a different bin with diluted h2o2. Been spraying the roots every now and then while pouring the solution through the netpots. The snotty shit seems to be breaking away and is just floating at the top of the water now. The roots are slowly starting to look normal again. This shit must be stressful to my girls now... It's bumming me out.

The next nute soup mixture will NOT include zyme or superthrive. Obviously didn't have luck with the latter two as things got MUCH worse. I also highly suspect that the superthrive causes this in hydro setups.. But I'm not 100% sure.. Just looked it up and saw the same issues among other dwc growers.

As for my pump, I have a lot of oxygen/air output and turbulence in the water from that and the powerhead. Here are the specs to my pump: Hydrofarm pump

I am supplementing this pump with another tetra whisper 60. 10 airstones total in the res with bubbles everywhere.. As you saw in earlier photos.

In the meantime while my girls are soaking in sterile water, I will be bleaching the fuck the out of the contaminated res then lightproofing every crack, hole and hose.

TLDR version:

This shit is getting cleaned ASAP.
-no superthrive this time

Probably going to invest in a chiller to avoid problems such as this in the future. I do have high temperatures coming in next month.

The res was 79 degrees today due to rain, humidity and 70 degree weather :/

I really need some ways to get the best out of my setup. It has potential, but I'm just being a fucking noob and hydro is currently frying my brain.

Thanks for the karma guys. Really needing it..

The only thing letting you down is that res bro ... 15 gal to much & no way needed

Are any of your plastics starting to age and/or degrade? That can cause some funky stuff to leach out into your Res.

No, none of that fortunately.. the brute bin is made with food grade plastic, free of bpa's as well.. so that's a plus.

Idk man.. I've seen growers logs using similar totes, even bigger ones with shittier pumps, and they get decent yields.. The only difference between me and most of them is that they use chillers and air conditioners in the grow room... Thought I could get away with it using h2o2 as a preventative.

I figured ya were keeping it cleen. Plastics can be a fickle beast. Save that superthrive for the soil. I swear the stuff hates agitation.

I'm definitely leaning towards the superthrive fucking my res up as soon as I used it, because in the first week to 2 weeks, things were clean.. As soon as I popped that ST in the res, the shit started building up every day.

I'll log the changes in the next few days as I get the res back in.

Thanks for chiming in. I'd rep but I gotta spread it around more.
