Slime is being taken control of... I can only see some hanging on sas's roots, so I took a spray bottle with diluted h2o2 and sprayed her down hard, making sure to spray the slime off to pick it out of the res. Going to add 3 more ml/gal of h2o2 tomorrow to keep the res maintained and to kill off the rest of the small bits on the roots.

Do you spoil your hydroton with h202?

My only gripe is that my ph is swinging reeeeal bad. Within a couple hours after adjusting to 5.5, the ph shot up to 5.8... Left it alone, woke up to droopy girls in the morning with a ph of 6.2!

Was it soaked in phed solution for 24h, before you started this grow?

So, basically I'm trying to find a way to route my air pumps 8 outlets into 2 buckets. That should provide good enough aeration for a total of 8 gallons maybe. It should look like this, except, using my hydrofarm aapa25L pump. Can't really buy this exact kit or these buckets from overseas because they don't ship here. So, I want to find buckets like this, or I'll have to rig it myself with basic round buckets. I just like the convenient water level indicators on these.
They have them sold separately here, which is exactly what I need but they won't ship to the states! Need to find a way to get them.. Aeros plant!t dwc bucket

No, I just rinsed my hydroton in really hot water to wash all the junk out, then I soak in ph'd water when I start the grow. It looks like there still is left over salt build up on the hydroton because you can clearly see it when they are dried up under the leds.

Next time, with all of this info on my back (you never get enough anyway) and all of your support, I will have a much better outcome. For now, I'm just going to learn from this and make the best of it as all hope is not lost.

I'm definitely going to just buy 2 black 5 gallon buckets and insulate them with reflectix from your tutorial. Instead of cutting a hole in the lid for the netpot, I'm just going to use a pre-cut lid with a netpot for extra security to prevent light leaks.

As far as that goes, I need to find a way to relay 4 outlets from my air pump into 1 airstone. 4 hoses running into one bucket would be a mess...

Just what I needed! What the hell do they call those things anyway? I wonder if that will effect the air pressure at all. The first one with the 4 looks perfect, but I gotta find the right length and see if my outlets match them somehow.

I don't think I'll be modifying it at all if I go with the buckets. Your way seems like the best way to do it.

Gonna go with the lucas formula next time and keep it simple...

google : 1 to 4 outlet plastic. Why will they drop the pressure?

In the meantime, also researching organic hydro grows to see if they don't build up or clog the stones in the res. The bennies sound like a good idea to keep the baddies off. If not organic, gonna look up some ''cleaner'' additives like florakleen, sm-90 etc..

Try the chime way first. Once you will be able to work with chime, you could try organic. But why make it difficult?

Hey Vick.. That's called a plastic manifold.. 8mm in 4mm out.. Spend a little extra coin & get a metal adjustable manifold bro..
That means you can balance the airflow in each bucket.. If you use one of those plastic ones you can bet your ass that the air pressure in each bucket will be vastly different...

So basically, I can hose this one up to the 8 outlets, then close of 6 of them with the valves, and feed 2 hoses into those buckets without any loss of pressure as opposed to 8 outlets being open?

Keep it simple.. Root stim + Feed that's it.. Except PK boost week (3 weeks before harvest)

No organic stuffs & chemical stuffs in the same bucket

Do not use zym & H202 in the same bucket.. H202 kills enzymes..

Lmao, I edited the above posts and added a pic of that manifold you were talking about with some questions. Definitely not messing with organic in hydro.

My plan is to use the lucas formula with floraduo A+B, root stim, pro tekt silica and nothing else until I add a bloom booster like you said.
