Grow Mediums Dwc transplant help

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum but have been looking around for a while. I only grow autos so thought this forum would be perfect I'm looking for some advice on my newest grow.

Well I got some autos started I started them in soil but decided after a week and a bit to move them to my dwc unit.

As you can see on all of them the bottom leaves have gone yellow I'm hoping this is due to stress from moving them from soil into the dwc what do you guys think?

It has been 2 weeks since they popped the soil and they have been in the dwc for 4 days now and they have started to establish more roots so hoping they will start to perk up soon. I have just done a fresh res change today aswell

Here are all the details
Ph - 5.7
Ppm - 350 (tap water was 225 and I'm using 1/4 strength oldtimers grow)
Water temp - 21C
Room temp - 30C
Humidity - 40-55
Medium - clay pebbles

So what do you guys think shall I give them another week to see if they pull through or should I just order some new seeds and start again.

They are just stressed from moving from soil to hydro, they should be fine with time. Once roots hit the water they will take off again. What's probably happening is they arent getting nutrient from the water and are just eating themselves for the time being. Good luck to you bro, let us know how it turns out

That's what I am hoping. Like I said they have started the last few days establishing new roots again so we will see over this next week how they will turn out.

No problem brother. Give them some time. Let the roots hit the water then start upping the feed. If roots are already in water and they still look a bit yellow then up the ppm a bit

What ppm would you suggest because normally I grow in soil I was just going to up it 100ppm every week to be honest

I'll be honest bro I dont measure ppm. I just start with plain ph water with a root stimulator until roots hit the water. Then I start with 1/4 strength for the first week and increase gradually according to how the plants react.

Since yours are a bit bigger i would add a root stimulator, I use voodoo juice. And once roots hit the water then up your feed to 1/2 strength. They should be hardy enough to handle it. Just make sure you ph swings in an acceptable range and you'll be golden. They will bounce back in no time bro

Most likely it's the stress from transplanting. How far are the roots from the top of your water?
