DIY E-Vape THC fluid

Good point Medi.

@gbd the only method like yours I have seen requires 30 days not just 10. Try letting it go longer next time.

Im going to just do a 4g run like it shows in the vid. The kit should be here in a few days. I cant wait to experiment with this!
I got the skittles flavoring so I can vape in public..hehe

Thanks for all the input guys. Keep it coming..

I've had some sitting in a jar since I made it at least a month or two ago. I'll try it later to see if the effect has changed.

I was just talking about this with a couple of friends on Monday and have just started looking into it myself. I'm curious to know what actually happens to the trics. When making oil and butter the THC is slow heated until it breaks down and binds to the fat in the oil. I'm assuming something similar has to happen to the trichomes for this to work in this application. At least to my understanding I can't see how it would work otherwise. After watching the video that Evol posted, thanks for that, I took at look at both propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine. PG is used as a solvent in pharmaceuticals. VG is basically vegetable oil. I'm wondering if the combination of the two, or maybe just the PG, dissolves the THC when it's slow heated like that. Guess I should have paid more attention in chemistry class.

There are some warnings on ingesting PG, especially for anyone prone to allergies, but it's generally considered safe for consumption. As such, that same process might have other uses in edibles as an alternative to oil or butter.

From what I have read the PG is mainly used to get the cloud of smoke. It could be bad info though.. I looked at the ingredients on a bottle of E-Juice and it is exactly what Ill be using for mine.. Although mine will have THC not nicotine!
It seems simple enough. I watched the video 3 times back to back just to make sure I didnt miss anything lol

the vg is just to make a cloud cause the pg doesn't make much vapor cloud

Pg is the "solvent"
with vg like eek said it clogs up

As nicotine eliquid the VG is actually used for clouds of smoke, PG is used to provide "throat hit". I would think that a good combination of the two would be best for use with canna because the PG extracts the THC, and then the VG acts as an emulsifier. The whole thing is similar to how you make a vinaigrette

Oh ok I had it backwards. The vid recommends 30% PG and 70% VG. 8ml combined fluid per 1 gram of buds

That link I posted says don't go over 50/50 lol

With the ever growing trendiness of E-Vapes I've decided to experiment with making my own THC fluid. it seems simple enough a little mono propylene glycol, a little vegetable glycerin, and some top shelf buds.
I ordered a small kit just to see how I like the results.

also ordered skittles flavoring...

If all goes well I may order more in larger quantities from a different distributor. When my kit arrives Ill give a detailed update on the process.
If anyone has experience with this process please feel free to provide your input.

This site has some of the best info on things like this, and just about any type of solvent extraction process you can think of. Good, scientific info, from science minded people looking to make top qaulity extracts, and to inform the average user on these processes.
