So I recently purchased 5 'Six Shooters' seeds by Fast Buds and everything was going really good. Vegetation was steady and quick and everything seemed to be just fine. I entered the flowering stage and was really happy with the results ,from what I have seen so far with other strains, till the second week. This is when I woke up one day to find little lime green 'things' growing on top of some flowering buds on one of the plants. At first I thought this is normal and nothing to think about, given that this particular plant was looking slightly different than the others when it comes to colour of leaves, size of plant (shortest) and stuff like that, but it was still a healthy female. I just thought it would be something genetic from one of the parents side (Mexican Airlines x CrystalMeth)((I've grown Mexican Airlines before but no Crystalmeth)).
But when I did my research I found them referred to as Bananas or 'nanners'. What I read totally freaked me out. Man I haven't slept good for two days.. I immediately moved that plant out of the room and to the balcony. I cut off the buds that were affected by those nanners rather than pulling them off and since then it is living under the sunlight continuing its nutrient schedule and everything. Some nanners have shown up on other parts of buds and I pull them out carefully. So far so 'good' bit the thing is I found some more yesterday in my growtent on one more plant (the tallest). I cant obviously move thatto one to the balcony too so I cut off the buds affected and moved it out of the tent to a closet nearby on the same room but protected with a white curtain so some light can get through but no pollen or anything can get to the other plants.
To be honest I am totally depressed and the blogs and threadsvon this matter dont help enough.
I did a lot of research and what I cant understand is how this happened so early in flowering(2nd week). Most of people who encountered this are talking about at least week 7 of flowering. I also understand that this can also be achieved by stressing the plant enough, but I dont believe this is the case. The only thing I did is switching the light cycle from 18 to 12 hours at the beginning of flowering like I do with most strains and never had a problem. The environment and gear is the same also.
The other plants are not visibly affected till now and are thriving for their age.
I really could use some help on this. What should I do?and how did this happen in the first place? Is it genetic? And last is it that dangerous that I could lose everything, given that it happened that early in flowering?
The setup is this:
1m x 1m x 2m growtent
600w hps light
Bio bizz all mix soil and all bio bizz nutrients.
Also I got california like temperatures and humidity if that helps.I also attached a picture of the first affected plant.
Really hope you can help me with that because I am losing my mind haha
