Greetings :) This is my first Autoflower attempt. The strain if i remember correctly, is: Low Ryder Easy Ryder.
I got them from Seedsman. They got here in less than a week    & I also ordered the small guaranteed to ship seed opener thingy.
Anyways to get to the point, I'm doing this for recreational purposes. But the main reason I made this account is to get some answers.
For one. I have two separate plants. I do not know exactly the size of the pots.
One is bigger then the other to a certain extent. I started one, 2-3 days earlier then the other, Which you can easily see in the photos. Anyways, here it is 14 days from starting germination & they are growing exceptionally quick
BUT for the past week I would say, I've grown worried about my baby to the right because she is getting discoloration of sort.
It started with the leaves looking a little " crunchy ". And next thing I knew I had discoloration. The leaves look a paler green & on them yellowish spots of some sort. :/

Now I haven't used ANY nutrients whats so ever. I plan on using the technique (if i understood correctly) to use nutes when the flowering process begins. To hopefully boost the harvest.
I'm just getting worried because researching, I don't wanna find out later on that I have spider mites, or any type of disease for my babies :/
To answer any lingering questions.

The one to the left, the first one I started.
Is doing amazing, absolutely NOTHING wrong with it whatsoever.
The soil I am using for this grow is: Miracle Grow Potting Mix. (Which is supposed to have nutes in it anyway I think ? )
The lights I am using are 4 CFL 2700 soft white or white something lol
I know its not much, I plan on getting maybe one or two more CFL's and a colored bulb for effect.

Please give me any type of advice, that you think or know would help me :)
Again the discoloration is my biggest concern :/
I also plan on churning my babies Purple during the flowering stage. I know I might seem like I know what I am talking about, but in all honesty I've only gotten a few pointers for the great Internet :peace:
Any type of help would be much appreciated :D

I will post pics immediately :) THANK YOU for READING I HOPE I CAN HELP.
AANNYY type of questions you have please feel free to ask. No matter how dumb they might seem. Trust me we've all been there lol
Anyways thanks again.
May the force be with you

Hi Heroic Kevin

Welcome to AFN :)
There's loads of people who'll be up for helping you with your first grow :)
My First ever grows were easy ryders too - Done about 20 of the buggers hehe - it's all i grew when i started!

Not having a go, but i found the bold type quite difficult to read (probably my dodgy old eyes ^_^) not sure if others will have the same problem :)

So - the dreaded crunchy leaves. :) could be a couple of things, (heat is a possibility - how hot is it in there?) - but it's most likely the miracle grow soil (MG). Those time realease nutes really suck! you will have seen the little yellow balls? Thats them.

Temps should be somewhere around 75-82f with around 40% humidity.
Do you have any fans blowing the little ones? :)

The lights I am using are 4 CFL 2700 soft white or white something lol

I'll hit you up with some links via pm on cfls :)

we're all having troubles with that at the mo - the server is being moved. It'll all be back to normal soon, but i'll PM you a link for posting piccys too :)

Hey, why not pop up a hello over at introductions for a nice warm welcome form our members? :)

Happy Growing

Blue ^_^

Well idk if you've heard its bone chilling cold down in South FL (: That's where I live.
But currently its 72 degrees in my home. & Yes I do have one little air purifier/fan in the small space. & Idk if it helps, ( can't be a bad thing )
but I always try to keep one small cup of water to try & attract any type of bugs that get thirsty or anything like that ^_^ I know the first couple days it attracted acouple bugs which ended up drowning due to lack of knowledge (RIP)

& hopefully that will try to humidify the small space.
I would have to agree with you about the soil causing this problemo... Prior to taking the photos, I watered my plants & for the first time sprayed some water on the leaves themselves to hopefully get some type of positive reaction.
I was hoping that was safe to do, since I only water them when they look thirsty or when its been about, 1 1/2 -2 days.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK :gthumb:
That's great to have a buddy on my thread who started the same way I am :D CHEERS!!

No worries - he's what i was gonna PM - may aswell keep it all here for ya :)

Here's my handy guide to getting photos onto threads

https://www.autoflower.org/f3...als-25481.html

if the photos were from your phone and you want to "strip" the data from it, check out this thread

https://www.autoflower.org/f1...res-24017.html

If you have an old computer and that doesn't work for you, PM me and i have another way to strip the data using ms paint.

All the best ^_^

ONE MORE THING. Idk if you did this with your little ones, but I plan on making my babies Purple.
Purple buds down here are EXTREMELY RARE, more rare then finding true love (believe it or not). So, I was wonder if you had any tips tricks or thoughts on the matter. TY :D

Yes Kev - I know all about purples ^_^ Check out my Black Cream in my signature, - I think i'd be popular in your neck of the woods hehe

As far as trying to make your plant purple - i'm not sure how you'd go about that! Maybe more of a genetic trait than something you can do yourself :)

Cold temps can bring on purple hues... So can phosphorus issues... Ive heard of people adding food coloring to water and changing the color.. but thats kinda wack "My 2 cents" Like Blue stated above... It would be best just to get some strains with purp in the genes. BTW WELCOME!!!! GLAD TO HAVE YOU!!:pass:

go for the cooler temps man, a lot of strains have the potential to go slightly purple because of all the cross breeding, i haven't grown an auto that was just green yet :peace:
