Hey diyers, ive been watching ebay for parts for when i finally get around to doing a build and came across this.
http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-COB-LED...CLU048-VEG-BLOOM-Kit-/222439261674?nav=SEARCH
5 1212s with holders pinfin heatsinks pairui driver, dimmer and wiring.
Not bad for £275+£35 delivery.

Also the 5 packs of citizen 1212s are down to £40

I am sure that's the kit @Slater got bro, looks great value for money especially because we cant get the passive heat sinks here in blighty.you will just need to build a frame with angle ali but that's easy peasy

It looks like it to me too, I remember his was from Sweden - and that the seller bumped up the price after Slater bought one LOL. Looks like he's had to come back down to a reasonable level!

I'm next getting on this cob thing! I'll be posting my build when I start.

@2Stoned2Care yea im nearly sure its the same as slaters kit.
I ordered some 1212s and im copying your design only with 2 heat sinks- still undecided weather to run 6 or 8 cobs.
Would love to run 6 @300w and do a side by side comparison with a 600w hps

300W would kill a 600w hps bro the amount of light you get from cobs is insane

I was hoping to replace my 2nd 600w hps with a 300w cob until I saw my mate's cupboard grow. I'm not convinced enough to part with my cash yet!:chef:

Cobs don't belong in a cupboard. They are way to powerful. There is a learning curve for sure. I have been running them for a long time now and can say 300w in a 4x4 space is more than enough and boarder line to much.

BigSm0 just a quick one out of interest as u know I have the budmaster cob x 6 which draw 300w are these in your opinion as powerful as your auto cobs?

I think Slater added a dimmer to his, no? This would certainly help with controlling it in a better space. Course I speaking out my ass, no actual experience lol.
:smoking:

Just a thought though...
