Cobs don't belong in a cupboard. They are way to powerful. There is a learning curve for sure. I have been running them for a long time now and can say 300w in a 4x4 space is more than enough and boarder line to much.

If you run a Dr Feelgood let me know as I like using that as a reference strain. If that strain can do about 2Oz in soil, probably an easy 4Oz in coco, 6Oz in hydro and 8oz in aeroponics then I guess cobs can hang it with hps and twice the watts.

Not that those numbers are particularly accurate but I'm trying to gather more data as I try different things out with it. Would like to have got to trying LEDs but have had to put that on hold for a few more months unfortunately :crying:

I would never ever swap hps for leds. That to me and most is the biggest waste of money. Watt for watt hps outperforms leds in par, spectrum and cost. Another thing to understand is a watt of hps or watt or LED equals the same amount of heat.

Cree, citizen,Samsung and osram make leds that do out perform hps though. Those are worth investing in. The cost of those are much much higher and that's where citizen and Cree cobs come in. You get the efficiency or light output of the most expensive leds packed into a smaller cob which ends up costing less.

The proof is in the gram per watt grows. Cheap leds rarely hit .5gpw, hps is the close .5-1gps and citizen cobs 1-1.5gpw. My current cob grow is going to beat 2gpw and my average is 1.5-1.7 gpw.

I have 325 cob from the wall +plus 240w from the wall blurple
.. 100x100cm.tent ( i think that is 3,3x3,3)

And yes my eyes does hurt when i open my tent.. :) :)
