Grow Mediums EC PK14/15 and nutes

If i have my nutrient solution at a desired level ( see my question about EC and Tap water) can i just add PK14/15 at recommended levels and not worry about EC changes or do I have to take into account the PK for the final reading.

So say my ideal is EC 1.6 and i have achieved this BEFORE i add PK and then my PK pushes it up to EC 2.6, do i have to water down to get back to EC 1.6

The reason i ask this is because I got some free Ace of Buds and it says on the bottle to add @ 5 ml per liter ( i assume that is fully made up nutes + water) in also states that it can add EC 1.0 to your nute solution so I am assuming that they mean it would be OK to have a final reading of EC 2.6 from a EC 1.6 nute solution

Personally I would start a low dose and work my way up if nothing bad happened. I'd probably lower my base nute levels a bit and bring in the PK boost nice and easy. If all good start pumping it up over the next weeks. Watch for ph swings I know hydroplex lowers ph A LOT requiring a fair bit of silica blast or phUp to buffer the mix; usually at the cost of 100ppm or so.

What I do is add all of my nutrients to my res. Then slowly fill up the res with water until the desired ec is achieved.

Oh sorry I change the res every time I add anything.

Only way you're gonna get the ec down is to add more water.
