Hello,

just received my new EC tester but it measures in US, whatever that means. I was trying to search here and there but I guess this is just rocket science for me. How do I convert US to EC?

hi pp, dont know nothing bout hydro but i do know it stands for microsiemens (µS) 10−6 siemens for electrical conductance. good luck.

I fugured I just have to divide it by 1000, so my reading of 231 µS stands for 0.231 EC.
Can anybody please confirm this is correct?

Can you tell us what type of meter you are using?
Maybe a link to it or a picture?

It's a no-name chinese meter.

But make has nothing to do with conversion formula?

It's not that the make is important...

The US on the from means it measures in Micro Siemens.
Hence the reason i wanted a pic of the unit.

A quick google search for converters led me here:

So converting 231 micro siemens gives you 136ppm!
