Indoor Electric Turntable

Do you have a link for that turntable ... ?

HAPPY 4-20 ALL! :toke: :toke::toke::toke:

I googled very quickly, so here's a random website, no idea if it's reputable:

Pastry turntable:

I also found a 'display turntable' on ebay, used for turning stuff in shops:

or can build something from scratch, vinyl turntable motors arent powerful enough it seems, so have been looking around at other potential motors but havent come across anything useful yet (or free!).

What if the plant gets dizzy? Hahaha joking of course. I think it's a good idea. Would be great for one plant.

:smokebuds:

if you got few plants i think light mover is easy.

Thanks for the link Nomis ... the cake turntable is pretty impressive. The turntable w/ the manikin on it is $50 w/ shipping and handles up to 22lbs ... I've been gung ho on the idea for a while now. I wanted to find a solar turntable that would run off the LED lights ... found one and never could get thru to the distributor ... if the light were a single point I know it would be beneficial, but I am not so sure w/ an LED panel. I think I will wait until the end of next month to see what my finances look like before I decide.

Solar ... http://www.global-merchants.com/home/planturn.htm

the solar powered idea is great, though the website looks like it hasent had an update since 1996 lol.
My next closet grow will start in june and i'm planning on adding some LED penetration lamp(s) and maybe fill some more empty space with CFL, to attempt to grow one super sized auto.
When i keep my closet door open a crack for air I can see my individual LED spectrum clearly. As the door opening gets wider the spectrum merges together of course, but my basic thinking is that parts of the plant may be hit with more blue light than red light over a 24 hour period, or vice versa. I would prefer to 'rotisserie' the plant so that it evenly 'cooks' for 8-12 weeks @ 82degrees

Of course all of this could be complete hogwash as I've not seen any noticeable difference between parts of a bud, or even different buds on the same plant. But hell, it's 4/20 and i'm stoned at 10am in the morning!

I took pocs of my led's spectrum like that too, but also use a diffractive material to get a better view. Great minds... ;)

Erm, it looks like ya'll want a 12vdc pancake motor and some gears. You can get everything you need minus the power supply from the guts of an old walkman. I used to strip them for parts back in my youth - I was keen on robots and circuit design. A servo modified for continuous rotation, the likes of which should cost you a tenner would work. I'll edit this with links to one of my favorite companies from back in the day. Happy grow room modding, and keep up the innovative spirit!

Im not finding any issues with my GN ms-0006 i get great penetration(thats what she said lol) and the 120 lens im sure overlaps each other..i did notice when they where small them turning towards dif spot on the light even though it was dead center under it..but now they just grow straight up no matter where they are in the tent.:bong:

Hey all, The turntable idea sounds great, but it is basically rubberbnd driven, not gear driven, So by the time you add the weight of the pot, soil plant and water...the belt might start to slip and nt turn. there are gear driven round rotaters at the local grow shop here and they are 30 bucks made local by the owner and she rates them for 50 lbs. Google is our friend!!! just my:2cents:.

Briman ... does she have a website or a way to see them ... assuming they are 110 volt I'd be very interested ... originally I thought I would see an increase in the growth rate by 25% or more but now I'm thinking it would be less than that due to the size of the panel itself ... constantly turning in one direction might also cause some weird gravity effect on the plant ... I'm planning a single plant grow in June that I'd like to try a turntable for ...

I hate to admit it Grado but I wouldn't know what to do w/ that motor but it looks like fun ...
