I want to try an electric turntable that rotates the plant at approximately 1 rpm. My thought is that this will counteract the effect of shadows ... Appreciate any opinions or has anyone tried it before ...
Hmm I have a cam in my tent ..ill set up a couple hard drives to record so i can watch them grow ..and play the vid at 3 or 4x speed that will be fun and give a brotha something to do maybe make a spoof grow vid lol
Here's a question for some of you deep thinkers ... Would having the plant rotate serve the same purpose (shadow mitigation) as having the plant stationery w/ the light moving around it ?
I would agree if the plants or lights were moving horizontally ... but having the plant revolve under a light that covers the canopy w/in the core would seem to have the same leaves shading the same leaves ...
I'm into this idea, and i think good for small closet like mine with only one or two plants. Also maybe a good idea for LED's users where light spectrum is not optimized or mixed well at certain points on the plant.
Here's a 'cake turntable' with speed of 0-9 RPM and supposedly holds 100 pounds.
Mix that with the camera idea above and you've got the makings of a killer youtube video.
