Start with one light, then add another and another so the increase is gradual and pay your bill on time and it wont' raise an eyebrow. Trade some bud for some stuff to make the cost in electricity offset.

I think they need more watering and dry out quicker, this might be a problem if you can't get home for a day or two.

its cost the same like 600 watt hps
so the fluorescent like t5 its cost the same on electricity bill

I grow since a year inspired by AFN.
I like to see here big growns, box and many many beutiful plants.
I use only 400W HPS, but this one light make my electrical bill double size...
I dont really know how do you guys can run for example 2000W grown room.
In my country unfortunately growing is not a legal thing... (,,I,, government), but as I see many grower in here in the same boat.
Can you advice me some trick ,or have any well-established process to grown with bigger lights in a bigger box? How do you resolve the bill problem?
(I means not the payment is the problem. The high consumption is the problem. I dont want to fight with the law...)
Unless you use very little electricity, there is no way a 400 watt light can double you bill. I just calculated what it costs to run my b600 watt, Metal Halide light. Based on running it 18 hours a day, for 75 days ( about the length i expect my grow to last till harvest, ) it will cost me $94 for the 75 days. I based this on a cost per kilowatt/hr of $0.12. So a 400 watt hps ror MH will cost about 30% less than that for the same 75 days. So your light should be costing you less than $30 a month. After you factor out the cost of setting up a grow room, with seeds a grow of two plants will cost you about $100 ( $60 for electric, estimate of $40 for seeds. So if you only get 2 ounces, that's $50 an ounce!! Whats bad about that?
Ahh sorry, I just saw your in another country, so i have no idea what electric costs, but still, it should not double your bill.

Our bills are 60$/mounth. My 400W HPS + fans push it up to 110$ / mounth. Thats a fact.
So my 400W HPS raises 45-50$ / mounth. If I use it for 3 mounths, just my grown room use (3X45$) around 135$.
So belive me thats almost double.

I just ask how do you guys use mutch more bigger set up, in a contry where growing is not legal.

I know my electricity costs go up in incrememts...and it starts at $0.28 per kwhour then it goes to like .32 after a certain amount all the way to .46 or something. So i can estimate i'll have at least triple your energy costs.

Here, unless we are using an amount way above normal, ( yea we are power hogs here we consume huge amounts of electricity ) it goes unnoticed unless we don't pay our bill in a timely manner, then it might get noticed. Probably, I'd guess anything under 2000 watts would be ignored. Yea they'd bust a small grower, but they don't really go out of their way to do so unless someone snitches or your dealing. The money is in busting for profit grow ops. Where ever you are, I'd say your probably at your limit if you don't want to be caught. I'd say your best option is to do an outdoor grow also. For somebody else your consumption would only mean new TV and computer in the appartment. If you are owner, of course, if somebody else is owner, than this person will be your main concern.
Police is mostly driven by market activities of growers, so troubles mostly start with selling, not growing. Many grows get discovered, because they are too big for the environment around. Big grows need strong supply chain and that activity is hard to hide, you must mask it somehow. If you fail you get busted.
It is not bad that you feel some fear, it will make you more carefull.
By the time fear will disappear and what will remain will be pure joy. And if you make some extra money, you will not be the first one, believe me.
And try to behave like great ganja guru Jorge Cervantes who says: When I was asked if I had been a drug dealer, I said no, no, I am only a florist.

I agree about 2000 watts beiing safe limit for smaller appartment, lets say 60 m2 or even less. If someone goes higher, he had better be very skilled and carefull. But there is space for more if one knows what he is doing.
When I was checking my limits, I had asked my neighbours, two older ladies, if heating with electricity was expencive. Oh, yes, they said: we pay 200 € in winter. And I had got the answer, which was, translated into growers language, 1500-2000 watts of lights and other equipment to be equal to my neighbours, two older ladies.
Wow! those rates are criminal! Someone's making a pile of cash off electricity!
