Have you ever aborted a grow @ about 2 weeks in, because of SLOW growth ?
im tempted, as I started 4 In a new to me media,(bio365 biolite) its coco/perlite, I didn't realize what it takes with this(coco).Got off to a bad start !!
ive since had some good advice, and am feeding them now, but these 4 plants just aren't moving much and it takes quite bit of energy
so im tempted to abort , but feel bad about it
And since have got an even newer to me media (pro-mix hp) and I believe/hope it will act more like what im use to = Biobizz light mix

These plants look ok/healthy I guess, but are just pretty small and just not doing much,
seems I can usually watch mine grow(really!) not these.

SO , Have you ever aborted a grow about 2 weeks in ?
(I NEED to get some going so I dont run dry!!)
these are 16 days. THANKS !!!!!!

I only have soil growing experience so can't speak specifically to your medium, but you should let them grow (or at least the best two), they may surprise you...I had this guy a while back that I almost pulled on Day 23 when it was only 2” tall…and I was forced to supercrop it, after multiple prior prunings, when it was 53 Days old and the main cola was 40” from the soil, fwiw:

I have never aborted a grow, but understand your pain from growing in coco. I have completed 3 grows in coco hand watering and checking EC/PH daily/2x daily in flower. Learned a ton, grew a few monster plants, but switched to organic BioTabs this grow to simplify and wow it could not be simpler/easier.

If you have the time and gear you may want to finish it out,;I always learn something. You could try to finish those plants while starting new seeds, you would then have a better sense to bin those in a couple of weeks. (If laws allow)

All the best.

If you think they will be stunted, the move is to let them finish, and start another plant or two now for a perpetual…. That way you still get some bud IF they are stunted, while you wait for the next plant to finish. Killing plants just puts weed further from your pipe… :d5: :pass:

Thanks Folks !! Yes I had started 3 other plants , I had one bag of BioBizz light mix left, I suspect they will catch up and pass these(?)
A worry would be if these hermie while I have other girls going, and effect them , but hermie usually shows up on me late in flower ,
which hasn't effected much.

Still not sure, I think ill try an keep em going, (learning curve with coco) and try an squeeze in a couple more in this space with the Pro-Mix HP , so I dont feel like im waisting all this energy if things dont work out so well.

The one thing to remember is that while it may not seem like the plants are doing much, they may very well be building a foundation under the soil for a big plant….Those two plants seem fairly healthy and not all that small in all honesty…. I certainly wouldn’t assume they’ll hermie or anything else based upon the looks of them….

Yes Thanks, in fact I just seen and accidentally rubbed a few roots starting to spread out to the edges of the pot so yes seems to be building
QUESTION: again I rubbed a few when I didn't see them, but is it normal for the roots to come thru the fabric pot ? I guess I may have seen a few small root ends poking out but not a lot of bigger roots hanging or nothing, does that happen and anything to worry about ,let them grow grow?

Also these are small/compact strains too, smaller 2 are Strawberry nuggets, and bigger 2 are 24ct so...,.

Day 17 for all 4

another QUESTION: after I water/fertigate, I wait an hour and get rid of run off, but the bottoms of the pots feel WET, good and wet like there's PLENTY of water , will this cause mold or anything to worry about ?
