Indoor Experimenting with optimal pot size

hi frens,

just finishing up my 7 th grow , 4 auto flowering revolver plants. had good results and aside from a little nute burn not too many hiccups. have a couple plants hanging and the other two flushed fiishing

one thing i've noticed is that the plants grown and stared in smaller pots (3-4 gallon ) finish earlier and have a more compact structure than those grown in 5-7 gallon pots )

so is there an optimum pot size ? do the larger pots encourage more time developing roots and thus start flowering later than the smaller plants ? since i can't control veg times i'm just trying to hit he sweetspot

5 gallon smart pots are my favorite, but I recently changed to 3 gallon smart pots. Normally I run my cob lights full time and on average they finish sooner.

I find that 11 liter pots (3US gallons) do a fine job. On the other hand, I'm going to use the 15l autopots from now on and those seem to be a killer.

I've tried 20L Smartpots before.. not sure how I feel about them. have been growing in 11L air pruning pots for the last year or so.. but they are still too big. For coco that is. For Soil or some such they'd be perfect. I have 2 large plants, each in an 11L pot. Each plant fills out half my tent. And it still takes them a 1.5 days to suck up the water.
What I'm gonna try out after my current grow is 6L pots. And high frequency watering in low amounts using pumps.
