New Grower Expert GROWER HELP ME!

Hey so idk if you guy saw that grow done with the "think different strain", I'm pretty sure everyone did.... Anyway, it was done under led lights so I looked one up on Amazon just for the hell of it...

tell me what you think, is it strong enough, it looks huge (no that's what she said jokes haha).. But yea let me know.

That type of light is all but useless, too low powered. 450 LEDs running at 0.06222 watts each will barely grow mold......

Hey Auto,

IMHO I would not touch that with a barge pole. Unless you are growing lettuce.

POP's topled is a better bet if you are really on a tight budget.

But there are better lights out there. eP.

Lol you guys are awesome.... Pop22 I was wondering, could I have that light for my whole grow, it confuses the fuck out of me when it says flower light. And I'm hearing LEDs are doing amazing things, plus less heat, but they are so damn expensive... Who would have known!!! Not I !! But anyway
I'm trying to stay on the cheap in lol but if I have to spend more I guess I shall.. I have another light you guy should look for me ... Please and thank you!

Hey!
A little late to the party! I'll go back and read through shortly.

That LED is close to the other you linked. Again the LED are the older bulb type and not very powerful. The new ones use chip style LED and are much more powerful. I think Pop linked to one of the best bang for the buck budget light going.

Here's a :slap: for working at it so hard!!
Keep up the good work, ask questions, make plans, this stuff is so fun!!

Prolly just gonna stick with the 250w HPS but I'm hella afraid to have to deal with its heating problems. Wwwilie man thanks, appreciate it, always getting confused tho, guess I should just keep it simple aye.

So the LEDs are off for now, I bought the tent tho

do I really need a carbon filter with fan? Where will it go?
How many will I need? Just one?
i know I'll need a fan inside, got that
im just unsure about the ventilation

Sorry but this is the same low power type. There are 180 watt UFO style LED grow lights for around $70 on ebay. I use one in my clone/seedling/veg cabinet. and yes, you can use them thru the whole cycle

The tent looks fine. The lighting may still need some work...
Do you live in an area where you are legal to grow? Will your housemates or neighbors be bothered by the smell? If so you NEED a good filter system. The one thing that I was not really prepared for was the smell! It is strong and pervasive. I have two tents in a room just for them and even with three filters and several fans, odor is still a problem. I am also using ozone and ONA gel. (One thing with the ONA, keep it out of and away from the garden!!!) SO, do you think you will need a carbon filter?
Ventilation is important too, especially with a HID lamp. I use a cool tube and both my 600 and 400 watt lights are cool to the touch, but they both really drive up the temp of the tent and room even though they are vented to the outside. Need to ventilate to keep the air fresh and the temp down. To ventilate I have a 6"x14" filter attched to an inline fan at the top of the tent to draw out the warm air and a 6" pipe and the vent slot on the bottom of the tent for fresh air intake. I have a 6"x36" filter and a 400cfm inline on the ceiling of the room drawing in room are an exhausting it out of the room into the basement, there is a 16"x20" (furnace filter size) grate in the base of one wall for intake and I use a hepa rated filter in it.

More than you are up to I am sure, but it is an example of how to vent and why you need to.

Peace!
