Grow Mediums FAO scrog experts

Think I have some pics of my think different scrog if you want to check it out..

The only problem you may have with the screen 10" above soil is watering. I had mine about 14" and I just about managed with a small watering can

Actually when I think about it you could just put some hose pipe on the end of the watering can to get to the back. Still an extra hassle that could be avoided though

I'm with t.t on this one. I've tried different heights and 12 in is almost too low for me in flood tables. Your grow. Sure you'll pull it off.

What I used for watering was a cheap submersible pump and a 1/2 inch hose and just dropped it in and used the hose. Even with 12 inches it will be a pain in the arse. Once I started using a pump with a hose I even got an old hollow broomstick and ran the tubing down it and made a wand type deal. A MUST imo if your going to scrog. Can get a cheap pump at walmart or a pet store for 10 bux and some hose. Well worth saving your back. Trust me

They are also right though if your doing photo s you dont need to be so close. I did it low because autos have limited veg time

Thanks for the reply dude. I'm running an NFT 901, so that doesn't apply. All my watering/feeding needs can be sorted easily at one end of the tent as the tanks have a little inspection area for checking EC/PH etc.

Yes please mate.

I must admit, even 12" did seem really low.

So, do you think it might be worth going higher? They grow fast in hydro, so I don't think it will take more than 2 weeks to hit 12"

12" was definitely too low. I am working with 15" above & that is the very lowest i could work with.

Just flipped 12/12 on Wednesday. 4 x Barneys - liberty haze.

Lookin awesome!

I am taking the plunge & going SCROG on my next adventure.

As you can see in the picture I have a screen that fits my tent perfectly (240cm x 200cm x 120cm)

I plan on running 1 x NFT 901 under 2 x 600w HPS.

How many plants should i do? I'm thinking 4? Also, how long on average would the veg time be to fill that size screen? I will have a dialed environment as I run a controller too.

I would love it if someone could mentor me on the SCROG & training side of things. I have a good idea of what is required but I want to learn as i go & get it right first time!

Much love

HygroHybrid just pulled 2 pounds from one Blueberry Headband grow in a 4'x4' SCROG and a 1000watts HPS! So it really depends what strain you plan to grow. Auto strains that get fairly large are best for a true SCROG grow, where you thread the plant thru the screen to expose maximum bud sites.
