So my first Bonsai Mother i ever created died from me letting her root ball stay too long in the same pot without being pruned, also her main stem and tap root were smack dab in the center of the pot when I trained her so this round I planted the seed off center towards one side of the pot so I can train her better (and up off the soil's surface more).

I love Bonsai growing more and more, it's a nice distraction from the daily grind of having to push your plants to flower hard and just have them veg out and chill with you... After all, who doesn't want a plant chilling with them. Plus you can shove it in the corner of your auto tent and as long as it has enough light, it'll grow well and you can train it.
I've found that you can get some good clones fast from Bonsai mother's too. Plus it's that time of year for me to try my hand at a few clones for the season

I know it sounds silly. But Bonsai mother's are great for auto growers looking to learn lst techniques and got some freebie photos because you can do a lot without the flowering period and can just keep it vegging in a small 1 gallon pot indefinitely (if maintained well) for at least 6 months without doing anything but feeding once every few weeks. Bonsai mother's also love cheaper soil (miraclegro performance organics) and small amounts of nutrients since they aren't worried about growing flowers, a bit goes a long way. Minus when the root ball is huge, if you forget to water them and they start dropping, a Bonsai Mother will come back fast. A Bonsai Mother also has yielded me easily 7 clones a week when well taken care of.

In a 2x2x3 tent with a 70 dollar Mars hydro 300 led and some cheap clip on fans, you can grow approximately 6-9x 1 gallon Bonsai mother's in one area allowing some spice of life when you want too. I didn't ever consider photos until I realized the small space needed for a Bonsai Mother and the realistically small amount of time to maintain each week after it hits about a month. Just some snipping and training to keep it in size. The biggest thing is deciding how you want your Bonsai. Traditional or unique to your tastes. I went with unique on my last one for fastest clone production and I wasn't disappointed. My last round of clones, before my last Bonsai died due to neglect, netted me 37 clones from a 1 gallon air pot with about 5 more which would be available in a week. I had let the medium dry out for 2 days as I was an idiot and it was 90f in the tent crisping the leaves.

So here we are.
This is day 2 and here she is

@Vapo @Gladiators and anyone wanting to tag along with Bonsai growing, this thread is for you.

Heck, I get bonsai's without trying to :smoking: Subbed. Interested to see more. Any pics of others you've done?

I do, here's my thread on my last
And here's a pic of it in December it began to fill out well after that but I wasn't taking many pictures. But by splaying it like that all of those potential sites got light and were turned into branches that were topped and then became branches and then the side shoots were clones continuously and maintained at about 1-1.5ft where the main top is visible in this picture.
By time I had this plant in it's final Bonsai shape Imagine this being full of about 30 branches growing up in the middle along with those sides being branches through training bringing about 45-50 branches total and all those branches continuously being chopped for clones or, in almost all cases, being tossed as simple waste, and those branches regrowing every two weeks.

Exactly like that! I would love to have that. What a beautiful plant. Looks like a miniature forest. I love that look

Thank you, she's a few weeks into flower now, here's the journal, I see you've visited before :headbang: :pass:

HSO - The New - Reveg

I religiously took all top fans as a preventative measure against high humidity in flowering but it's not gone over 50 and she's really taken off!

Took a look at your last pic on your thread, nice looking flowering. That is really beautiful and should be nice hard nugs on the end for you.
