New Grower Feeding Question...

Hey all,

I am growing my first plant and I just have a question about feeding her nutrients.

I read that feeding should begin at about week 3.

What should I buy for the nutrients? And how do I feed it exactly? Are nutrients liquid or what? Do I just pour it into the soil? What brand should I buy? If I go into a store and say I need nutrients for my plants, will they be able to direct me to the correct thing to purchase?

tell us alittle about your setup so it`s a little bit easyer to help you out budd

You mix your neuts with water.

so this is the line up

this is actually a good schedule I'll run it at 1/4 strength to start...The same if you just do as the bottles say
I like it because it's got the PPM schedule on it

Welcome to AFN ! I use the same schedule as auto with different nutrient line up... but If you go to a grow store ...then yes they will be able to help you weather or not it is good help ....idk but most things will really depend on where in the world you live and what is available to you... and then its kinda preference...but I would listen to guys like Auto . IF you look up Full Duplex in the search guide it should come up with FDs guide to hefty autos and there is some very helpful information for you in there ! Make sure you are every bit as particular with your soil as you are your Nutes !

I'm not trying to contradict what GoAuto6 is saying, but someone posted this a few weeks back saying this was an Autoflower feeding schedule. Would someone else like to chime in?

as far as i know there is not a feeding schedule for auto flowering cannabis . the reason is they tend to be nutrient sensitive if you notice it has seedlings and cuttings at 700 to 840 ppm, you don't even feed an auto till around week 3 or 4.....you would start the schedule at week 3 at 1/4 to 1/2 strength. I recommend 1/4 to start the beginning of each time you up the PPM.........But short story long no there is not a feeding schedule for auto flower's............

Hey everybody,

I appreciate your replies.

I planted my seeds on the 20th of May. Below are pictures I took today. I checked out other people's autoflowering journals and it seems that their plants are MUCH bigger by day 16. Is there anything wrong?

I live in BC and I have been getting great weather so I have been using sunlight. As you can see from the picture, I have two leaves out already and two more on the way but still very small.

I am looking forward to your replies and I most definitely appreciate your help especially with a noob like myself.

Hey GoAuto! Thanks for showing me what to buy. Just a quick question - I should buy all three products you listed and then MIX it with water to give to my plants? Or are you just showing me a variety of brands to choose from? I am kind of confused.

And when you guys say "1/4 strength", what does that really mean? How do I know what 1/4 strength is?

I am on day 16 now. Should I be starting nutrients soon?

I would start out with the pro grow for veg and by the looks of your girls they need it, at 1/4 strength meaning if it calls for 4 table spoons to 1 gal of water use 1 table spoon to start, see how they act if they dont get crispy tips up it to two per gallon....

when vertical growth all but stop switch to the other two for flower, same deal start at 1/4 strength.........
