do you use a juicer and fold it the pulp as a top coat sorta??or do you cut slices and muddle them together somewhat??just curious if you find one way easier and/or more effective?..Thanks man..Ive been looking into this a little more lately

No, don't chop or blend it. Just put it in as is. Granted, you may have to chop it to get it all in the water but the main goal is to leave it as undisturbed as possible and use it as quickly as possible after chopping so the enzymes and bacteria are fresh and alive. The more you process it, the more bacteria die.

Great idea Thanks!

I recently discovered I have a yard full of wild Comfrey out in the yard so I picked a bunch and chopped and put in a bucket with a couple pounds of organic brown sugar and added a bit of warm well water to get it cooking.

I have it in a warm place and hope it gets bubbling In a week I hope to have some flowering nutes for my plants I will see what else I can find to throw in kind of hard to come by certain vegies out this way.

Cheers AK! Comfrey is one of the best in my opinion. I know a lot of people that have been using it the last year with excellent results, a few even started growing it themselves specifically for this purpose. Let us know how you like it when you have time.

The Calphos Made with Eggs shells also amazing ...
Really stinks tho .!!!

Here is my comfrey, rhubarb and Fireweed with organic brown sugar brew fermented about a week.

Sure smells like alcohol I even tried a taste on my finger and yup brew lol

Thanks for the great idea.

Sweet, that is a beautiful looking tea! You did an excellent job! Yeah, like swampman said, report back on how you like it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised on how well it works.

Thanks guys it does look good enough to drink and would probably knock me on my ass :)

I m going to let is settle and finish cooking a before I try it on my plants.

Good thread. So can I basically use any healthy, annual weeds to make FPEs ? So long as they are healthy and at the same stage of veg / flower when applied to plants ?

Possibly Vas Def, they are all going to contain some beneficial components. I say possibly because I there are some you don't want to use in organics, like aloe vera for instance. You don't want to put that any where near organic soil because of it's antibacterial properties. It is excellent to use in a clone machine BTW, if you take clones of photos.

I would recommend sticking with the major ones other people are having luck with at first and once you get the hang of it begin expanding and testing different things.

Thanks A4, I have a couple of short season plants that are into flowering now. I also have 100's of annual weeds around the property which looks very very healthy with buds ready to explode. I was thinking of snipping off the top 2-3" of buds and making a ferment as a test.
