Basically, at the moment my setup is looking like this.

Tent: 48x48x70
Light: Blackstar 270 watt LED
Base: Sunshine mix 4 Advanced
Nutes: fox farm trio (perhaps a few of the others in the line as well)
Ventilation: (yet to get)
Pots: 2x 2 gallon airpot walls screwed together to essentially make a 4 gallon airpot (I hope they don't fall apart, the screws are fairly tight though, any suggestions on fastening them better is appreciated)

What I'm concerned about is the amount of wattage i'm running in such a huge space. I have 3 of the 4 gallon frankenpots inside the tent in a triangle shape. I'm just curious if the amount of blank space in the tent is going to affect the yield. I went with kind of a bigger tent in case I decided to grow multiple plants down the road.

Also, I didn't recognize that I had ordered the advanced sunshine mix, does anyone have any experience with this base? Any info would be awesome.

Another thing, if I were to start growing with my blackstar would there be any issue with throwing another ms006 in there down the road?

Thanks in advanced for the info guys!

Whoa a few questions, let me see... The pots, did you do them one on top of the other to essentially make one tall pot? As autos like to have room to grow a long tap
Root so height is better than width... Will work great! Your lighting is fine as well and would have zero issues adding any other type of light you want in your tent. I run three different brands in my 4x4 tent with great success.... Be sure to have the plants right under the LEDs light print (the area
Where the light is(am I making sense? ) the empty spaces with no light if no plants are there will have zero effect on yield, just be sure to keep the three under the led.... I sometimes just Turn on one led
When they are seedlings as that's all they need and as they get older I start turning the other ones on...
I LOVE sunshine mix #4 big difference between that and promix is when sunshine mix dries out it's ph is 6.5, promix 7.... I'd just use h20 for the first two weeks than start nutes off at 1/4 the fox farm nutes are very hot and a little
Goes a long way.... It's easy to over feed with fox farm so start off light and see how they respond... Everything sounds right on the money! Sending one big :karma cloud : your way brother! Wishing you great success in your grow!

I didn't think the size of your tent will hurt you ... a little extra space should make your grow easier ... and if you happen to get another light, you won't need to get another tent ...

Yep yep. Perfect starting size. I'll be expecting some monsters in there.:beast:

@Yoda: Yeah man, I've stacked them vertically. I plan to just plant straight into the pot. I haven't heard any bad things about planting directly, on top of that I'd have less chance of messing things up transplanting. I appriciate the help man, glad to know I've chosen a good medium. I've heard a lot of good things about sunshine so I thought I'd give it a go. I've still got to grab some venting things and a carbon filter but the grow should be kicking off soon. Thanks for the karma bro!

@Chester: Good to know man. Hope to see ya in the journal once I get it started up!

@Romeo: I hope so man!!! I'd love to come out with at least a couple ounce per plant. I may just be over confident but I'll try my best haha.

:peace:

Georgia, I do the same with my airpots. With great results.
Just be sure to put the upper Airpot into the lower.( Wrap the top of the lower around the bottom of the upper) If you don't, water will leak out from that area.
Done this way, you'll only need 2 screws to hold it together.
Check out my grow in my signature to see what can come of stacked Airpots.
Good luck with your grow!

Thanks for the very wise information Ronin. I'm glad I checked up on that before starting haha. I don't think I situated them that way, so I'll be putting them together again soon.

I'ma stop by and see what's going on over on your grow! Appriciate the grow karma as well my man.

Yes, you can add any LED light later on.

Your grow tent is suitable for 4 x 270W LED lights if you want to fully utilise it. If not, the only trouble is that reflective wall material is too far. Thats all, I think. Put them in one corner instead of in the middle.

If smell and noise is concern you should carefully choose filters, fans, etc.

I'll post up some pics tomorrow so that you guys can get some imagery going.

That's mainly what I was worried about, seeing as I'm only running one blackstar as well as having so much negative space I'd hate to hinder myself when it comes to growth and yield. I'm thinking of taking the bottom flap that sits and velcros to the bottom of the tent and building a wall so to speak beside them, to basically cut the tent size in half for now (because of just the one black star) and still be getting the reflectiveness of the bottom mylar peice, think that would help?
