I did on my first few grows, and then stopped... I haven't noticed any difference in smoke quality after two weeks in jars.
...then again, I don't have much of a sense of taste.

I do a 72 hr dry/dark period
In nature, they dont get a 72 hr dark period..so they dont get one in my tent, lol. Its personal preference though. Some do.. Some don't. Try it and if its something that works for you and your setup!
