Hello everyone and welcome to my thread. I am mainly starting this because i would like some advice/tips/comments on every stage throughout my grow.
I will be growing in my closet in a grow tent that is 2' by 2' by 4'. I managed to get the grow room/grow tent completed today, so all i am doing is waiting on the seeds from nirvana.

Some specifics with my set up:
-4 inch inline fan with carbon filter for exhaust (goes straight from the duct in the top of the tent to a hole in the false bottom of my closet where the fan and filter are under)

- A 250 watt hps growlight: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038VG890/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i04?ie=UTF8&psc=1
- Passive intake that i am eventually going to put ducting on and lead it out of the closet

- 2x 12 inch diameter plastic pots

- A blizzard oscillating fan

- Tiger bloom trifecta for nutes

- A digital ph meter to check water/runoff

- Bio-bizz light mix soil
I will be putting a form of LST on these jock horrors to fil the maximum space with the maximum amount of buds. That is the plan anyway.

The only thing i am currently concerned about at the moment is that the tent temperature is around 80-86. does anyone have an idea that will lower the temp into a better temperature range? Please any tip or comment is greatly apprecciated!
Thank you for visiting my thread, and you are more than welcome to take a front row seat.:toke:

here are some pictures of my set up so you can see what i am dealing with: operation 1.jpgoperation 5.jpgoperation 3.jpgoperation 4.jpgoperation 2.jpg

cool! ill help ya out when i can im subbed up im interested on how these ladies grow, i had one that i lost in an unfortunate light falling accident on my first grow with my northern lights from nirvana..

It would definitely be appreciated! any remedy for the high temp?
ahh that is awful! how did it happen?

well i dont think there is much you can do, the heat is from the poorly vented light fixture itself, thats why those cool tubes are awesome, if the exhaust is hooked right up to it the heat is never even exposed to the tent. the temp range you are in now is great for flowering  the only thing i can think of since your running the exhaust right off the top is, raise your light and your pots off the ground just raise everything towards the exhaust outlet see if that helps since heat rises (adjust height to needs by whatever you use underneath the pots to raise them) . and open one of the cinched side vents to get some air pullinginto your tent, get some cross venting goin on. hope these help!?!?

actually now that i think about it, i think it was my pasta strainer that i was hanging above my plant that fell on it and tipped my starter cup over and stunted her at 2 inches tall. :( i was experimenting with dry ice above the plant as a cO2 source

Yes, its helps alot, i will definitely be doing that when it comes to game time. I plan on installing a 6 inch duct for a passive air intake which should be more than enough flow for the tent.
Thanks again for your advice! I guess that is why i am here right?? :smokebuds:

if your cfm is high enough on your fan, for your tent size you wont even need one the fan will suck air from wherever it can, i have a 2x3x5.5 and a 200 cfm inline running from inside my tent, exhaust out.. and i just open my back bottom flap for the opening and it sucks air thru that, also the screen filters the air that is pulled through !! :2cents:

heres what the top of my tent looks like at different times with the fan and filter hanging right above the lights

That is a very good point. i was just worried about the dark not being dark enough without those flaps on. But now that i think about i feel like my closet will be completely dark at night time, so not much light would be let through the open vents. I will just open the vents for now and see how it is. I bet the temp will improve also.

Welcome tpg, I grew in a similar set up to yourself with a tent in a closet, my temps sometimes got into the eighties, the only solution i found was keep a window in the room open if possible then my temps held at 75-78, mind you this was winter in the UK the wife was none too pleased with the cold bedroom but i think she was just jealous of my other ladies!
