New Grower First grow, 2 x Auto mazar & 2 x NL auto

Dampen the coco that is dry, it will encourage more roots further up the stem, your fan will be okay left on, just don't point directly at the plants, you really need a way to check you ph, it's so important. You need PH meter or you'll not finish this grow. You need a ph meter.

All I have to test ph is the liquid dye drops and looking at the color so I know it goes in at around 5.5-6 but I dont know what the soil ph or runoff is. I've been told canna coco comes at around 5.5-6.5 so I assumed I'd be fine as long as I put my liquid in at the proper ph.

Do you grow in soil and use coco nutrients? If yes, that is not OK. Some are the same but not all.

Your plants are very small and you can see how lower leaves start to brown at the top slowly. That is perhaps nutrient lock because of wrong ph.

Very simple solution is at your hand, I pay 12€ in drugstore for litmus paper which is primitive and cheap ph test. You measure what ph you put in, what is already in, and what comes out at the bottom. I was shocked when I first did it.

Do you have a fan blowing directly on them so their stems will grow strong? A strong stem supports big buds. That height they should be waving at you, which also keeps them cool but you are using LED.

How about describing more the LED? Specs? Company? Soil looks dry. Big organic movement happening. All the work is done in the beginning and all the nutes are IN the soil. Never have to feed your plants ever, just water. I don't think LEDs are THERE yet, to be honest. Another year and they should have a few rock solid systems out there. It'll be the new thing, everybody will want one. For now, should just get an HPS/MH light system off ebay for $120 or something similar. Even a handful of CFLs would be good. Like 5, 85 watts a piece if not 100 watts each.

Please help

An update from day 28. Plants are really starting to grow but now I have a problem. I think its a magnesium deficiency but I'm not quite sure so I'm hoping someone can help me. In the pictures there's a lot of yellow blotches starting to appear and on one of the plants I think some rust spots are showing up. I'm not quite sure what to do besides give them more calmag?

You should ph your water/feed to the 6.5 range for soil also 24/0 is a good veg cycle but the seedling stage is delicate so you could start out at 18/6 for your next time around in the first couple of weeks. Anyhow you seem to be doing well from your last update so maintain the 24/0 light cycle and make sure that you introduce the feed slowly but steadily, keep a good schedule and your plants will do what they are supposed to do. It is early and root development takes precedence in this stage of growth, focus on making your plants root system and stem nice and fat so that it can truly benefit from the nutrients it needs to grow.

From your earlier pictures I did notice that you burned some of your leaves and possibly stressed the plant, that happened to me as well and my plants bounced back very strong and about to begin flower at nearly 20" tall for autoflowers that went through most if not all rookie growing mistakes.

Have faith in your grow and it will show you exactly how marijuana flourishes from start to finish but you have to care for them and give them what they need to sustain a healthy plant life.

An update from day 42. Plants are pretty healthy now and growth sped up on two of the plants and then slowed. I don't think there's been any vertical growth in a about a week. Two of the plants are way undersized at about 8 and 9 inches but are just super bushy. I tried raising the light to stretch them but it hasn't seemed to do anything. I think they were just stunted from my beginning mistakes and their about as big as their going to get. Hopefully the two taller ones will bud up. I have no idea which plant is which strain and it's kinda funny. I assume the two taller ones are one strain and the two smaller bushes are the other. I've learned a lot this grow and I'm pretty confident the next will be better. Here's some pictures...

Hi nick, they will bud up mate, no problem there i usually stunt one every grow and they still do there thing, don't worry, iv' had small plants being serious smoke.

when you stunted them were they as bushy as the two I have? Also any recommendations on trimming some of the big fan leaves to let some light in to the bud sites because they seem to all be covered by the fan leaves or should I just leave them?

Here's an update from day 57, just a group shot, you can't see one of the guys in the back. The two tall ones are starting to pack on the buds. The other two bushy guys are just starting to develop some bud sites and hopefully they'll grow a little more to allow light to penetrate all the way through.day 58.jpg

Thanks for the comments on my thread, Nick. I subbed to your thread, hoping to see what kind of yields you get. I think I'm going to crack a new one in soil this weekend and try to get some nutes into my current 2 hydro's.
