Well since the last watering I didn't test ph as my meter took a swim and even though it dried I still can't get it calibrated. Gonna try to get it replaced by Hanna but I think I am going to get a replacement because i dont think they are going to replace it by the next watering that's if they do.. Will call them tomorrow. My game plan is that my next watering I am gonna run 7.0 ph water test run off and try to stabilize it from there. Maybe will need a few flushes of 7.0. But for now letting her ride, not seeing any ph issues to my eyes but then again I am a noob. Letting ride till next watering and correct it then. Thanks for checking in brother.
Well thanks to everyone for the good karma as it seems to of paid off... was talking to goauto6 about options as what I should do and checked my meter and it has come to life. What I did was take the batteries out and stuck it in rice but keeping the electroid of the meter facing up with a sponge dipped in storing solution and after 3 days I was able to calibrate it. I just used some old 4.01 and 7.01 solution packets that I used last time. But will definitely use new packet ph buffers to calibrate it precisely for the next watering to make sure I correct that 5.5 in soil. Unless I am advised by a pro grower her and adjust it sooner. But for now I just am happy my meter is back to life and have to do this....:dance::dance::booya::booya::booya:
So my old ph meter is now being replaced and decided to go with the better hanna meter hi98128.. hopefully I can get my meter tomorrow and see what the soil ph is at and hopefully able to get her ph back up to 6.5. Any suggestions are appreciated.
