Have to agree that measuring PH is the way go. I have a NLxBB going that was having problems (heat stress etc.) and has lost ALL her main fan leaves. I was also getting worried that the buds weren't really filling in. So I bought a cheap PH kit and sampled my tap water and it read off the chart. All I know is that its 7.8 or higher which is too high.:Stones slap: So I mixed up some water and brought the PH down using white distilled vinegar to the 6.2 - 6.5 range and flushed the hell out of her. That was 2 or 3 days ago and she has done a complete 180. The buds are now looking beautiful and are really taking off. Also have to note that I'm able to keep the cab cooler with the weather changing outside now. I was having some serious heat issues.
Its your first grow, so just keep her alive and you'll get a reward in the end. However, you might want to start expecting it take a bit longer to finish than you originally planned. There is debate about this, but in my experience, stressed autos can recover and still produce nice nugz. It just may take longer. I have one at 15 or 16 weeks now and I took her sister at 10 but I won't get in to her misfortunes. Hang in there bud, a lot of good people here to help you along.
