Guys i ordered my 140W LED from bysen and i will probably receive it in 5 days time. Will do a report next together with my led and plant

I am still pondering if i should buy the air pots or smart pots ?

Should i buy the GH PH Control kit ?

Something that bothered me about this light is the lumen flux. One site I looked at said it had a lumen flux (lm) of 1454.
I'm hoping that was a "per chip" basis for a total of 120k lm (83 chips x 1454) and not the entire fixture. What did you pay for it? I might want one too!

With LED it's different because the spectrums are designed for the plant photosynthesis and plant growth so additional light is not wasted. Think it's about the par value.

I paid $200 USD total and once i receive it i'm gonna switch my CFL to the LED and take pictures and do a report

The led can't be rated in lumens. Your right killer, they are rated in PAR!

I just fed it 1/4 bloom nutes today and also i topped up the soil a little and well it looks neater now i guess. Do you think on my next feeding i'm able to increase to 1/2 bloom nutes or should i just stay at 1/4 all the way ?



I have a few questions though

1 - If i harvested the plant and leave it to dry, would light leaks (sunlight from window) affect the buds ? I leave my closet door open for air exchange and i'm planning to use my grow space to dry it.

2 - Related to the 1st question, can i do another grow while drying ? For example i'm hanging the buds in my closet but meanwhile there is another seedling with the lights on.

3 - I plan to buy a led light that has a 100 watt total (50pcx3watt). Do you think that is enough for my grow area and also can i grow 2 plants in my grow area ?

4 - I was planning to buy air-pots but then the shipping fee to my country is insane. The 3 gallon air pot cost like $8usd but the shipping is $40usd ?! The smart pot's shipping fee cost like $9. Which do you think i should buy or i should just stick to my current pot ?

Looking great kill. Plant is really not that small. True, its no monster, but its about right in line with your setup imo. Anyway, I'll take a shot at your questions.

1. Simple light leaks won't matter. Just don't dry it on your balcony or window sill in the sun
2. As far as another grow, I'm not sure. UV light from the sun destroys THC. I'm unsure if "grow lights" will also. That's a good question. I'm leaning towards it wouldn't be a good idea.
3. I see you already got an LED light. Thats great but I know nothing about them except they aren't exactly cheap. I'll be looking to buy one myself next summer to help with my heat issues. As far as two plants, idk, there are formulas on here somewhere that you can use to figure that out using your dimensions of grow space and light output. I say, if you have the space, give it a go and see how it turns out.
4. I also know nothing about the different pots out there. I know personally I would never spend over 5-10 bucks for a pot, I don't care how "smart" or airy it is. But idk, maybe they are worth it and I'm missing something.

You can increase your fertilizer gradually in small amounts, just keep a close eye on overfeeding issues. I always go light with autos. But you are definitely in full flower and those buds are looking pretty. Can you see them "frosting" up yet?.

Hey there Vapeo, hopefully it will swell up and get fatter with my LED man

1/2 . Okay noted i guess i will just dry it with my grow area without another grow going on.

3. Yeah the reason why i went LED is because it's suppose to give out 50% less heat than CFL which will definitely help my high temp. Their inital cost is cheap but i think overall the investment is worth it.

4. I picked air-pots because i was hoping for better aeration and good root mass. I am planning to buy two 2 gallon air pots and have two perpetual grows after first grow, i'm excited for next grow !

Yup my next feeding i'm gonna continue 1/4 nutes but maybe increase it to 1/2 on the next one. Yes they are definitely frosting up and the smell is getting stronger !!

Day 57 Report

So i'm getting my LED light in about 2-3 days time. I just fed my girl 1/4 bloom nutes and 1/2 teaspoon BSM. The buds are getting fatter day by day and considering the fact that my temperature is insanely high and also the humidity isn't going down because of the daily rain. I bought yellow sticky traps to try to prevent as much bugs as possible and also i got some dehumidifier balls but it doesn't seem to help much. Anyway hopefully after this feeding it will get more stinkier and fatter. Will do an update when my LED is here.

Check if you can see the difference in them buds. Enjoy :gthumb:

Day 62 Report

Hey everyone!! I received my LED grow light today and i was so excited i switched my CFL to LED instantly and it's so damn bright i was light blinded for a minute. 3 more weeks to go (2 more nute feed and last week is flushing/cleansing). Hopefully in this 3 weeks time the LED would help in the bud fattening process. The LED produce lesser heat than my CFL but it is not much of a difference, rather disappointing for me because i thought i could finally reduce my temp. But i'm gonna get another fan soon so hopefully it helps.
