tapwater is fine imo for the most part. I just wouldn't use tapwater if you have a microherd in your soil. It will kill those but most likely not your plantAnyway i just checked the ph level of my tapwater and the average of it is 8.1 and the ph of my compost is 5.5-6. Can i still use tapwater or should i use distilled bottled water or rainwater ? I don't have enough to buy a ph meter and i definitely would not want my plant to die. Maybe i should boil the tapwater ?
I always see bugs around my plants I generally don't worry about them. Watch out for slugs tho, they can do some real damageThere are tiny white bugs in my soil and i did some research and i think they might be Springtails.
Best way is to gauge the weight of the pot. Or just watch your plants, they will tell you when they need water.I also have a question, when i use my finger to check the moisture of the soil which part of the soil do i stick my finger into? Close to the edge ? Or like around in the middle near the plant ?
I would say no. You can't fret over the temps or humidity levels outside b/c they are out of your control. High temps will cause your soil to dry out a little faster is all, but that really can be a good thing. Always error on the side of underwatering than overwatering. Overwatering autos can be easy to do in my experience (even when you know not to).Hey guys, some help here. It's 5am here now and the temperature is 81F and the humidity is 89% but usually in the morning till afternoon it ranges from 81F to 88F and the humidity decreases till 59-66%. Meaning it will usually be high humidity at night till morning(before sunrise) and in the morning to afternoon the temperature will be higher but less humidity. Any help with this ? Like should i give lesser water or more water ? My plant is like 4 days old. Some help please, i'm getting really worried !!
I see you have a sprout. Looking good. :check: Your soil looks plenty moist to me from the pic. If you have a big pot \ little plant, be very careful about overwatering. I would just continue to mist for the first cpl weeks
