New Grower First Grow(Balcony/Window). Auto Diesel Berry grow journal.

Do you think it's late in showing it's preflower is because it's hungry ? Other than Nitrogen Deficiency, what's with the tips turning brown and some spots on the leaves ?

If your in the states I'd be hittin' Wallyworld for at least a little miracle grow if nothing else. Anything other than bloom nutes. Something with a high N (first number). A little fish emulsion, whatever you can get your hands on. 3:1:1 (15-5-5) or 3:1:2 (15-5-10) ratio preferably during veg... JMHO

Pee in a jug of water and dilute with water and give to plant!!! FREE NUTES can't say that I havent done this ^____^
When I'm in hard times I will do this.

Thanks everyone for those input. I have decided to shop for veg nutes and if i can't find any, i would have to order online but i don't know if my plant can survive waiting. Anyway other than vege and bloom nutes, what other nutes or items that is beneficial for my plant do you recommend me to buy ?

@Nika HA! True that! Forgot about THAT quick fix!
She's right about that one! Pee in a gallon jug (or 2 liter if your Euro or a Canuck), add water to fill and water away!

Anyway, go to your local WalMart or whatever you have for hardware with home and garden stuff. If you live in the boonies, go to the feed store and ask for anything water soluble for "tomatoes" (not in bloom yet). wink-wink. Watch the numbers for a higher first number (nitrogen) with lower second and third. A preferable ratio would be 3:1:1; i.e. 3 times the N versus P or K. 21-7-7, 15-5-5, 6-2-2, you get the picture. As long as the first number is the higher, you'll be ok. Miracle Grow, if I remember, is 32-0-0 and will do fine in SMALL doses. Because it's N only, supplement with a very light dose of the stuff you have to give it the P and K. It's VERY easy to burn with Miracle Grow (it's strong and 32 is a high N level), so again BE CAREFUL on the dose AND frequency. Whatever you get make a larger quantity (2 liter or so) of quarter dose (or less) and set it aside for when you need it.

Plants use loads of nitrogen during the veg phase. Once vertical growth slows or stops and you see ACTUAL flowers forming, switch to your other stuff. Use 1/4 of the recommended dose to start, she'll let you know when she wants more. If your using soil, BE CAREFUL. If it looks like you overdid it, flush with straight water thoroughly (a couple of liters at least!) and then let the soil mostly dry out before trying again, and then straight water only until SHE shows she's ready for more. Make sure to adjust your nutes by adding more water to your mix to thin it down. Once a week should be plenty to start unless SHE shows she needs more.

So I went to buy my veg nutes and bloom nute(even though I already have one). The NPK of the veg notes are 18-18-18 with TE and vitamin(I can't find any that has higher N then the rest) and the bloom is 10-30-30 with te and vitamins.

What do you guys think ? The recommend dosage is one capful so I will go 1/4 recommended dose for the veg nute on my next watering.

Any advices or opinions ?

Great job. I'd recommend a 1/8th dosage just to be safe, then slowly work it up to 1/5th, and 1/4th then 1/2, and finally full dosage. (all 1 week apart when ramping up dosages).

Also as a tip, do not use your urine to water the plant ever, period. I've heard good stories, and bad stories, but sadly the bad outweigh the good. It's just not worth the risk.

I start seeing red/purplish stems so it is definitely N deficiency right ? And also can you guys look at the pictures and tell me what are with those spots ? Anyway on my next watering i'm gonna feed 1/8 or maybe 2/8 veg nutes to fix the problem. GOOD NEWS - I think i saw white pistils but they are really tiny and my plant growth is really slow (doesn't look like it's growing) but the upcoming feeding should fix it and hopefully faster growth and more pistils. What do you guys think about the 18-18-18 veg nutes i have ?

You use nutrient rich compost and it has all for your plant for some time, at least to support it to this growth.

What is more likely, you have classic nutrient lock because of acidic soil. You should measure ph.

It happened to me and it happened to thousands of growers. Nutrient lock out comes with not taking care of soil ph and shows itself as different deficiencies.

I think that is exactly what youve got, and thats of course the main reason for slow growth. If the plant grows further without beiing properly cured this signs will get worse and worse.
