Hey Killernecrox, great lookin girl you got there! I am trying to decide when the next bean I should pop in should be and diesel berry is a contender. How is her just day to day odor? I've heard they can be super super strong (stronger than a carbon filter can handle alone) but was curious about your experience with it?

5 - Yeah i am not gonna mess with the main cola(big potential to get big i guess). Probably gonna get one of the lower buds. So i just cut the base of the stem and then quick dry?

Man the smell is simply amazing. Once i went to my grandma house to stay for 3 days and when i was back, the minute i opened the door the room was wheezing with the smell and i had to on all my fans to blow the smell out the window. STINKY.

But since this is my first grow, to me it's stinky but maybe after a few new grows i might find a really skunky one. :drool:

yep, just clip a small bud of your liking and quick-dry with an oven or microwave.

yeah, I love diesel strains for their smell. So its not just you, they are notoriously smelly I believe.

I am not good with explaining the smell but what i can say is that it fills up my whole room with the smell but i'm fine with it. Once i leave the room to get some food and comes back, one whiff and you will be smiling

I screwed up this grow as it was my first one so i'm thinking it could have a stronger smell if it was bigger but then it is really smelly enough.

Twigg you should just grow diesel berry and try it! I think you would love the smell and the bud is really frosty and there is some tint of blueish/purplish to it (maybe because of my led lol)

Vap Alright thanks, i'm suppose to do a report today but i forgot cause i woke up too late lol. Will do it when i water tomorrow. Probably gonna clip a small bud next week.

Day 72 Report

Hey guys i'm planning to harvest next week to start my new grow asap.

So today i watered her after taking so long to dry up (a week). The next week i'm gonna harvest when it's time to water so that the drying process can be easier. When i harvest i will definitely do a report still.

As you can see, plenty of her leaves are purplish and i think it might be caused by the LED (does bleaching causes purple leaves?) or it might be genes.

I'm glad that my first grow i can even get some delicious frosty good looking buds and i'm really proud of her for standing strong and being tough even though there were difficult environment for her to nurture.

Since this is my first grow, i have no experience with drying and curing so please tell me if what i'm planning to do is correct.

1 - Trim the leaves

2 - Cut the bottom of the budsites and hang in my grow area(lights off but might have light leak from outside).

3 - After 2-3 days, put it in a brown paper bag and fold once and tape it.

4 - After 2-3 days, take the buds out and place it into my curing jar and depending on humidity, burp a few times per day.

For burping, how long do i leave the jar open and how many times should i burp per day ?

Its looking close to being ready imo! Yeah my deisel looked almost identical to yours when I harvested. Pretty sure the purple coloring is genetic. Looks fantastic bro. Nicely done

If you haven't already you should read through this drying and curing thread. I notice a HUGE difference in potency after about a month of curing, not to mention taste and smell.

Does your leaves get purple or the bud get purple ? If it's genetics that's damn cool.

Just reviewed most of the thread, nice grow you have here!

Leaving the plant in the dark for 2 days is a debatable subject. If your plants ready to be chopped, you might as-well do it and see the results. People claim leaving it in the dark produces more THC and whatnot, not sure how true this is.

my bud didn't get purple, just the fan leaves turned yellow and purple in the late stages. The description of my strain said this would happen so I'm pretty sure its a genetic trait in diesel strains. I love this strain; its very unique relative to anything I've ever grown or seen. And what drew me to your thread in the first place. After a good cure, the smoke produces a stone so deep that it grabs the soul with both hands and won't let go for hours.

As far as leaving it in the dark, I agree with Chad, highly debatable. There was supposedly a study done that showed it works. I've tried it and didn't notice any real difference. It won't hurt though.
